The guards on the door let pass another pair of fresh men to replenish the ones she had already beat, the multitude in waiting currently nursing the ones she had beaten.
How... how much longer would this go on... they werent trying to kill her now. If they were, she wouldnt have gotten past the first ten.
She couldnt fight anymore. Everything hurt. Everything was sore. The colors were washed out, even the gold of the room had lost its sheen.
The emperor glared at her, eyes full of both amusement and bliss at the spectacle, as he waved a hand and sicced the next two guards on her.
They slowly neared her, staying outside of her striking range.
If they both attacked at the same time, she was done.
“Here I go!” The one in front of her called, throwing a kick.
Cober blocked with her bruising arm and pushed his leg up, making him fall on his back. Quicky, the guard rolled towards the wall of the room, conceding defeat.
She was being toyed with.
She couldnt fight like before, and now she was a plaything.
The emperor clapped his hands. “Another one.”
