I had to get around to her one day and here she is, Shade the echidna. She's from Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood and a member of the Nocturnus Clan. Basically, the cyberpunk ninja version of the Dark brotherhood in the comics. I liked this game; it was an RPG and just seems to have been forgotten. Shame, I thought it was cool.
It also doesn't help that a 'certain fucking asshole' sued SEGA claiming that he owned the rights to the Nocturnus Clan and it led to the sequel being cancelled.

It sucks because the game ended on a cliffhanger and we can't get a sequel because the asshole copyrighted the Nocturnus Clan. They were no way connected to the Dark Legion and the bastard ruined it for everyone.
