It was a bright, sunny afternoon in Adventure Bay. At the top of the Lookout, all the pups were outside having the best time ever. Skye zoomed through the air doing flips while Rubble and Zuma played a rowdy game of tug-of-war with an old rope toy.
“Pull harder, dude!” Zuma barked, laughing.
Rubble grinned. “I’m on it! My tummy says I’ve got this!”
Marshall, the dalmatian firefighter pup, tried to join the dance party with Chase and Rocky. He spun a little too fast, tripped over his own paws, and tumbled right into the pile.
“Whoa! I’m okay!” Marshall yelped, rolling onto his back with a goofy grin. The other pups burst out laughing and piled on top of him in a happy, wiggly heap.
“Best day ever!” Chase barked, his tail wagging like crazy.
Just then, Ryder’s Pup Pad started ringing. He answered right away.
“Ryder! It’s Cap’n Turbot!” came the worried voice. “Mr. Porter and I were out on the Flounder collecting fresh clams for his big chowder special at the restaurant. We hit a sneaky underwater rock—kaboom! The engine died, the stove tipped over, and now there’s a little fire on the deck! The current is pushing us straight toward the sharp rocks by Seal Island! We need help, arrr!”
Ryder jumped to his feet. “Hang on, Cap’n Turbot and Mr. Porter! The Paw Patrol is on the way! No job is too big, no pup is too small!”
He turned to the pups. “Marshall! Chase! We need you two to put out that fire and keep the boat from drifting into danger!”
Marshall slid down the fire pole. “I’m fired up!”
Chase was right behind him. “Chase is on the case!”
Their vehicles zoomed out of the garage and raced down to the bay. Ryder hopped on his ATV and followed close behind. When they reached the water, the pups switched to their water-ready modes—Marshall’s fire boat with its powerful water cannon and Chase’s police boat with its speedy drone and tow cable.
Out on the waves, the Flounder was rocking back and forth. Small flames flickered near the stove, and Cap’n Turbot and Mr. Porter waved their arms from the deck.
Marshall aimed his water cannon. “Time to cool things down!” A big splash of water shot across the water and—WHOOSH!—the fire was out in seconds.
“Great job, Marshall!” Ryder cheered over the radio.
Chase launched his drone high into the sky. “Drone’s up! I’ve got a visual on the drifting boat. I’m lowering the tow cable now!” The drone zipped over and dropped the strong cable right onto the Flounder’s deck. Cap’n Turbot grabbed it and hooked it tight.
“Nice work, Chase!” Ryder said. “That should hold them steady while we figure out the engine.”
But when they pulled closer, they saw the problem. The propeller was badly bent from the rock.
“The engine won’t turn over,” Cap’n Turbot called. “We’re still drifting a little, and I can’t steer!”
Ryder thought fast. “We need someone who can fix things on the spot. Rocky! We need your help!”
Back at the Lookout, Rocky’s ears perked up. “Don’t lose it, reuse it! Green means go!”
Rocky zoomed down the pole, hopped into his recycling truck, and raced to the bay. He loaded up his tool belt, some spare pipes, and a few recycled metal pieces he’d saved from the junkyard. Then he jumped into his own little water rig and motored out to join the team.
“I’m here, pups!” Rocky barked. He tied up next to the Flounder, hopped aboard, and got to work. “This bent propeller just needs a little love… and maybe a recycled bracket from my truck!”
With Marshall holding the ladder steady and Chase keeping the boats from bumping, Rocky used his trusty tools to straighten the propeller and attach the spare parts. Sparks flew (the safe kind) and after a few minutes—VROOM!—the engine roared back to life!
“Fixed and ready to roll—er, float!” Rocky cheered.
Cap’n Turbot spun the wheel. “She’s turning like a dream! Thanks, Rocky!”
Together, Marshall, Chase, and Rocky towed the Flounder safely back to the dock. Mr. Porter and Cap’n Turbot stepped onto solid ground with big smiles and zero clams lost.
“You pups are amazing!” Mr. Porter said, shaking everyone’s paws. “I was so worried about my chowder supplies, but you saved the day—and the clams!”
Cap’n Turbot gave a big thumbs-up. “You’re the best sea-rescue team a captain could ask for!”
That evening, the whole gang gathered on the beach for a special thank-you picnic under the stars. Mr. Porter set up his portable grill and cooked the freshest clam chowder and seafood skewers anyone had ever tasted. Ryder, all the pups, Cap’n Turbot, and Mr. Porter sat on blankets around a cozy (and very safe) campfire.
The sky turned deep purple, then filled with twinkling stars. Cap’n Turbot pointed up. “See that bright one? That’s the North Star. It always guides sailors home—just like you pups guided us today!”
Marshall leaned back against Chase, belly full and happy. “This is the best night ever. No fires, no drifting, just stars and friends.”
Rocky wagged his tail. “And I even got to reuse some old parts. Double win!”
Everyone laughed and howled at the moon together. The waves gently lapped the shore, and a shooting star zipped across the sky.
Ryder smiled at his team. “Whenever you’re in trouble, just yelp for help!”
The pups snuggled closer under the starry sky, tails wagging, hearts full. Adventure Bay was safe once again, and the night was absolutely perfect.
The End.
