(This a scan of a pic of character living rent-free in my head,
my down computer, and now my phone.)[/i]
Bio: This is Mindy, a skunk whose parents bought a parcel of land
near the carnival fairgrounds to place a creepy haunted house
attraction for everybody's entertainment (and to scare the
daylights, among other things!) during the Fall Carnival.
Her usual schtick is to sneak up on some of her friends, with
a soft voice, saying, "I've come for you!" with a
comically bad Dracula imitation. If that wasn't spooky enough,
she'd be dressed for the part! And, just to really carry coals to
Newcastle, her dad and mom get into the act during Halloween!
During the off-season, Mindy is a normal kid.
Just don't let her watch any vampire movies. 😰
"Why?" you may ask?
Just think of that one episode of the Three Stooges "Gents Without Cents"
about that "Niagara Falls" sketch and YOU'RE the one
who's ending up like Curly!!!
Name: Mindy, sometimes as Min-Dire
Age: 11-and-a-half
Height: 3' 09"
Clothing -
During the off-season: typical clothes for a girl her age
During October: a black pinafore, starched
white linen blouse with ruffles at the wrists and collar,
white slip and bloomers, a flowing silk black vampire
cape, white lacy socks, fitting black shoes, and plastic fangs.
(I do have AI pics of her, too, but I rather not post them. Plus, I already posted the 3-D renders.)
...And just to make sure to put to rest any doubts, claims, and assumptions...
Hand-drawn back in 2023, scanned with an Epson Perfection 1640SU
using an Acer One (before it died) running Windows XP with no IP service, edited and
colored with the Gnu Image Manipulation Program.

Here's another description for this character:
Name: Mindy "Min-Dire" Vapor
Age: 11
Race/Species: Cartoon Skunk
Background: As a young skunk kit growing up, Mindy was trying to find her niche in life, a role-model that she could look up to, only to be disappointed by the outcome. Not only did she want to be a social butterfly, she somewhat envied those who were either considered as popular, cool, or daring.
Unfortunately, her parents, Mr. Allan Vapor and Mrs. Jasmine Vapor, decided to move to the outskirts of town at a piece of property near fairgrounds.
But one day, Mindy saw a steamer trunk that caught her eye during the move: it belonged to her mom, Jasmine. She was nearly in fits with curiosity about
the wood-and-steel container that held a secret that was nothing short of pirate treasure to the young skunk girl's imagination. After the move was successfully completed, Mindy, with her mom's permission, took a peek into the vaunted trunk...
It was revealed that Mindy's mother was not only an actress, she was a hostess in a "Saturday Night Scary Cinema Show!" as "Jasmine the Vampire Vapor", but stepped down from her position when scheduling conflicts, conventions... and raising a family... got in the way.
Along with that, fans.
Good fans who visited snapped photos and politely got autographs.
Unfortunately, there were invasive fans who didn't have any sense of decorum, decency... or the common sense the Good Lord gave them to NOT invade a home occupied by a family of skunks... with predictable, albeit awful results... the kind that involved dry cleaning... and using a mix of peroxide, dish soap, and baking soda.
Mindy's father, Allan, was a Jack-of-All-Trades when necessary, and helped out when needed for
the sake of both Jasmine and Mindy.
After that, Mindy decided to follow her parents' previous pursuits, not only in helping out at home in everyday things, but being the off-the-wall kid to her friends.
But when October rolls around, she dresses up in her black pinafore, flowing cape, and fangs, to become... Min-Dire, the Spooky Vampire Skunk!
Personality: Mindy is a playful girl skunk with plenty of character. She has an eye for set design, but loves drawing it out... even if it is on paper and pencil.
Attire: Mindy is usually dressed in a lilac T-shirt, blue jean shorts, white leggings, and lilac sneakers.
However, when Mindy becomes Min-Dire, she wears a coal-grey linen pinafore over a white long-sleeved linen blouse with lace around the collar and wrists, white linen bloomers, white ankle socks under black Mary-Janes, and a silken, flowing black vampire cape with a scarlet inner lining. When she smiles, either in a friendly manner or a threatening manner, her plastic fangs peek out from her under her upper lip.
Habits: As Min-Dire, her usual schtick is to sneak up on some of her friends, with a soft voice,
saying, "I've come for you!" with a comically bad Dracula imitation. It startles them to see Min-Dire near their shoulder, baring her fangs, and it either causes them to be startled, laugh or facepalm, but it's all in good fun. And if that wasn't enough, she'd be dressed for the part, thanks to her extra-roomy backpack.
