The skydogs were creations of a wizard living far from civilization in a town he had subjugated, who dreamed of loyal, intelligent magical creatures to defend his keep. He bound the skydogs telepathically to his servants, expecting to create a corps of loyal knights. However, the servants hated him bitterly and turned this new power against him immediately. Now they and their new partners patrol the surrounding lands, preventing the wizard's discarded experiments from wsmdering toward civilization.
