SilverFork Meridian
Official Regional Designation - though most folks still just say Deer Fork, Silvergrove, or Meridian Bay.
Welcome to SilverFork Meridian: Three Towns, One Winding Story
Across the dry foothills and scattered creeks of the Western frontier lies SilverFork Meridian, an officially recognized tri-town region whose name sounds far grander than the towns themselves. On paper it's one district; on the ground, it's three very different communities - Deer Fork, Silvergrove, and Meridian Bay - each with its own identity, struggles, and heartbeat.
Deer Fork: The Dustbowl Survivor
At the western edge of SilverFork Meridian sits Deer Fork, a fading miner's town where the wind does most of the talking these days. After the mining companies pulled out, storefronts shuttered and the population dwindled.
Trailer parks and a small cluster of 90s-era suburbs remain, populated mostly by anthro families who've learned to get by with grit, stubborn pride, and close-knit bonds. Some humans here resent the changes and the closures, but Deer Fork's culture persists - quiet, weathered, and fiercely real.
Silvergrove: The Suburban Middle Ground
Travel east and the landscape softens into the calmer, tree-lined streets of Silvergrove. Once farmland and scattered groves, it's now the suburban connector between Deer Fork's fading past and the energy of Meridian Bay.
Silvergrove blends old frontier atmosphere with comfortable living - family diners, modest parks, wide cul-de-sacs, and a faint 90s charm that never fully left. Humans and anthros mix more naturally here, and many residents commute to Meridian Bay while relying on Silvergrove's slower pace to breathe.
Meridian Bay: The Region's Modern Pulse
On the far end of the tri-town stretch lies Meridian Bay, the largest and most vibrant community in SilverFork Meridian. Its waterfront glows with neon and nightlife, its streets hum with species diversity, and its skyline manages to impress without overwhelming.
Meridian Bay embraces its mix of modern tech and retro culture - mall arcades, corner VHS shops, digital art markets, and indie scenes that attract both humans and anthros from across the region. If anywhere feels like the ``heart'' of the district, this is it.
A Region Linked by History, Not Uniformity
Though the government calls the area SilverFork Meridian, most people still speak of the towns separately - Deer Fork's grit, Silvergrove's calm, Meridian Bay's spark. The name may unify them on a map, but their personalities remain proudly distinct.
Travelers often say the journey across the region feels like moving through time: from the sun-bleached remnants of Deer Fork, through Silvergrove's steady suburban rhythm, and finally into the bright, bustling energy of Meridian Bay.
Whether you're searching for stories of the old mines, a quiet diner booth, or a night out by the Bay, SilverFork Meridian offers a slice of frontier legacy wrapped in modern life - three towns, three identities, one winding history.
RESIDENTS OF DEER FORK:
Brody Benson: This teenage Hyena is growing up in Deer Fork, right after the mine industry?s shutdown, living in a trailer with her mother and two older sisters, she has a very close bond with her wolf "brother" Alex, and any soul kind enough to look past her poverty, scruffy looks and usual legality-skirting shenanigans.
Coal Connors: This young raccoon used to work in one of the mines that shut down, but since the town started it?s slow demise, he now lives in his trailer, and has developed some rather odd habits, always trying to scrounge up a living, he?s a skilled worker and has dexterous hands, but finds it easier to try and con his keep, and isn?t too concerned with resorting to thieving when the chips are down, but he keeps a self imposed code of honor and regional pride, always looking out for the people in Deer Fork, and mostly stealing from the companies and humans he thinks ruined his home.
RESIDENTS OF SILVERGROVE:
Moxy Meadows: A perky goth/rockabilly marten mechanic with a spunky personality and her own garage in the outskirts of town where it?s rather quiet, Moxy?s Motorworks is vying to become the best shop in the zone, fixing and building cars, and she even has a small racetrack on the side lot to test drive the cars, lives in a double-wide in the back of the shop, she?s dating Citlali?s father and is technically her step-mom. She also spends time with Lizzie.
Lizzie Bristlebrook: Teenage student, film buff and summer camp counselor, her parents and older sister also work the camp, family owned but staffed all summer long, Camp Silver Burrow; "Summer starts here the Grove meets the wild" (her dad thought that up...).She?s also in a secret throuple with Faye and Horus, her bear best friend and her croc boyfriend, and seems to spend a lot of her free time hanging out with the marten at her shop, or listening to her other friend?s bass playing, Christy, a lovely Otter-fox hybrid.
Faye Flores: This rather precocious pre-teen bear is a cute, girly girl, loves cycling around town, cooking and writing, she is also very curious about all things she sets her interests to, which sometimes ends up with her in sticky situations. Her curiosity getting the best of her is how she ended up in a three way relationship with Horus, an older crocodile she met while being nosey in the town?s library, and her bestie Liz, who despite being older than the two of them, spent a lot of time with the bear cub at Camp Silver Burrow and became best friends with her.
Errol Edwards: A good example of someone who lives in Silvergrove but commutes to Meridian, this odd eyed lynx is a history student in Meridian College, and works in a music store in the small suburban town when not in school or focused on schoolwork, he has a unique genetic condition, being intersex, which he?s open about with his partners, he loves music of all kinds, and working at the store helps him grow his collection, plus gives him a good excuse to get paid to listen to music all day long, a fair deal, if you ask him.
Leslie Lawson: This plump teacher and school counselor is also a "halfway" resident of the Tri-town, she works at a school in the big city, but lives in a small house near the division line between Silvergrove and Meridian, with her husband Aaron, a dog and a small stable with two horses, she commutes to the city in a small luxurious sports car, however her lavish lifestyle, with horses and cars, belies an ironic situation, her husband is usually busy or away working to maintain said lifestyle, but keeps the auburn haired woman in a rather neglected situation in certain, important, intimate aspects.
RESIDENTS OF MERIDIAN BAY:
Citlali Coleman: A recently moved-in half breed, half Latino puppy girl, Tally got to Meridian in a rather grim situation, she lived with her mother Marisol for 13 years until she passed away, and now she finds herself adjusting to life in a new city, a new school, and living with a father that didn?t know she existed until a few weeks before the move; lucky for her, he?s a loving, caring, and attentive man, and he has given her a stable house and a sort of family structure, as he is dating Moxy, the mechanic girl one small drive away.
Bailey Breeze: This extreme sports enthusiast lives in a house in Meridian which belongs to her aunt, who rents it to her for a cheap price as long as she keeps it clean and inhabited, in the meantime, Bailey is deciding her next steps in life and trying to bring her hobbies into a career, she?s a skateboarder, break-dancer, mountain climber, and whenever she can, she enjoys hitting the Bay?s beaches for a surf session, supported in her transition by her mom and aunt from a young age, she?s enjoying life and doing her best.
Cosette Cassidy: A young woman making her way in the entertainment business, she started singing and acting at 13, and grew up performing in small productions and musicals, and now at 25, she lives in the city to be close to the hubbub of the theatre district, but also enjoy the comforts of a mid size city.
Eliot Scratchett: It?s easier to spot the hairy blur this kid leaves behind him as he runs through the cityscape, or sometimes above it, than it is to see him, the young video game and computer nerd is also a devoted traceur in the discipline of parkour and it?s basically the only thing the laid back smart Alec moves for, of course sometimes the city?s police department wants to get him for recklessness, but they?d have to catch him first!
Jai Jarrah: This young man moved into Meridian Bay with his dad when the older Tasmanian devil got a new business opportunity in town, and since his arrival, he has received a scholarship for high school due to his skills in track, particularly long and high jump, but he?s having some issues adjusting to loneliness, new life, new culture and making friends in a foreign land.
Selene Salazar: A teenager studying in Meridian High-school by day, Selene truly comes alive at night, hosting her pirate radio/online radio show "Echo Eclipse Radio", "The Voice of The Three Towns", sending her signal from an abandoned marina office by the waterfront, not many people know who she is, but a lot of people listen to her, teenagers past their bedtime, lonely insomniacs or late night workers, and people enjoying the quieter aspects of life in the Bay, Echo plays music to accompany them all, random audio snippets and commercials from vintage times, and most of all, takes late call-ins where she doesn?t judge, just listens and sometimes gives a nugget of wisdom or companionship, or sometimes just plays that one song people need at the right time, people say "If you're awake after midnight, Echo Eclipse probably is too."
