The enjoyment of the endless slaughter grew dull at around the 100,000 kills mark, with Kyle taking on the stance of a baseball player about to cave in the head of the umpire. The flames burning just as bright, and the ice granting the same frigid chill it held 5 hours ago.
Remorse, in those crimson eyes, at this moment, would've been a cold day in hell.

Yeah, the game is on the back burner, hard. I'm glad marathon is succeeding, but it isn't for me, I just don't wish for marathon triumphing having to come at destiny's defeat. Something something "wasted potential." Still, this game meant alot to me growing up, and I hope pitching my idea to an artist that managed to encapsulate it works as my love letter to the game that helped foster kind-heartedness, individuality, and courage within me growing up.
