It's a beautiful day for a mother bird to take her baby flying.

This is a request/collaborative effort with fellow enthusiast Digolgrin that took shape over the last few months. He and I have been developing the character of Skye the Terrier, student skydiver. We decided that her parents, Dandie and Russel, are skydiving instructors and have been showing her the ropes. Here, Skye is just a little too young to start training in earnest, but that doesn't prevent her mom from taking her up with a tandem rig, letting her pull the ripcord and pilot the canopy on the way down. Think of these as stills taken by Skye's dad, who jumped with them with a camera.
