No matter what flattering angles you choose, sometimes you have to admit that these are just horses.

Trust cowboy tips:
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from behind, or a fool from any direction.

I've been having this issue trying to draw my anthro goat in a flattering way. :\ Head on view, the eyes always look wrong unless you compromise with cartoony.
Which, yeah.. it's all cartoons. But.. anatomy thoooo.

Honestly, she can still have Forward facing eyes while still having a strong side profile, mainly in how the skull is designed...

...And it is kind of shown in how the G4 and G5 Ponies both have narrow snoots and nasal bridges, which allows not only for more expressions and a cuter look, but allows them to have both a strong side profile, and a VERY good forward profile... And implies the Ponies of G4 and G5 are Omnivorous.

But it is still comical like this... And it actually gets the design to be pretty close to G1, which had them be designed more closer to actual ponies, which means broader snouts and a much wider nasal bridge.

not to mention changlings are a predator species of sorts. so forward eyes make sense.
