The last 8 months or so, I've spent more time actually participating in the fandom than I ever had in my 13+ years of casual furry interest. In the light of that, and with the prospect of actually participating more in the social aspects of furrydom, I decided it was high time I get myself a true fursona. Not just a characters as my past creations like Nikole, Ribbon, and Kailee, but a true projection of myself into furrydom.
So I spent a long time thinking on things like gender and species. Gender was easy--I wanted my fursona to be androgynous, neither definitely male nor definitely female. For species, I wanted something not completely bizarre, but not your every day cat or dog, either. I was leaning toward bear, but my growing friendship with
urged me to be more unique. I chose the binturong, a character often overlooked in furrydom.
Gender and species in mind, I waited. I waited for my favorite character creationist RyokoNoKalo to release a new set of eggs. I love Ryoko's eggs. She still has two from this set available, so you should totally go buy one!
What you see above is the result, my real fursona, Jacinth. You won't see Jacinth in any of my stories, but you may just see it at FWA next year!
