Contact of the 3rd Kind;

Twilight felt exhausted as she made her way upstairs to her bedroom in her castle. She hadn’t expected to be worked into the ground while helping Applejack with Apple bucking on her farm nor help Fluttershy and Discord tend to a injured Manticore cub that got separated from its family and picked a fight with a hydra. Either way she would be glad to be getting in her bed and fall into a blissful night sleep after a hard day of work.

At least there was no evil running amok on Eques or any of the other nations that would require Twilight and her friends’ help. Although there has been something going on recently.

Recently, ponies and stallions alike have been claiming to see strange lights streaming across the sky at night for the past couple of days. Many thought it was just Luna doing a meteor show for everypony, but the lunar princess said she didn’t cause meteor showers to happen when those lights appeared. Also those same lights been appearing in the other nations too and just two days ago at the Changeling Hive two Changelings told King Thorax about seeing an unidentified flying object that was glowing like a star flying around before taking off into the sky.

After that the news spread like wildfire and many of Equestrian’s inhabitants believed those two Changelings had seen an actual UFO. An unidentified flying object. That also meant aliens when it came to UFOs as many believed those spacecraft carried intelligent and highly advanced beings from distant planets beyond Terra’s solar system or even from other galaxies to explore this planet. Besides Eques hasn’t yet developed the technology or presently have the science to build a rocket or spacecraft that could take them into space. However, in the human world where Sunset and the human counterparts of Twilight and her friends live their world has a space program and had yet to launch a spacecraft carrying astronauts to Earth’s nearest neighboring planet which was a planet called Mars. Of course Twilight herself never been into space before nor seen real extraterrestrials in the flesh, but she really does hope to one day in the future. If there is alive beyond their planet.

Even though she was a mare of science Twilight had an open mind so the idea of aliens from another world is possible. After all what would explain those strange lights that been appearing recently or what’s been causing them to appear. Even though those answers would be answered someday hopefully.

Soon at last Twilight reached her bedroom as she used her magic to open the door and walk inside. As she came in the alicorn heard snoring from a certain basket as she glanced over to her right and saw Spike snoozing away and snoring like a jackhammer. A smile formed on Twilight’s muzzle as she couldn’t help, but chuckle at the baby dragon’s snoring. After all Spike had also been busy too today as he was helping Rarity find more gems for her dresses and practically fell asleep in his basket like bed when he got home.

“Looks like I’m not going to get much sleep tonight with Spike snoring.”, Twilight said to herself quietly so she wouldn’t wake Spike up, “Might as well get in bed and get much sleep as I can.”

With that said Twilight made her way to her bed and after getting on it tucking herself under the covers the lavender alicorn fell asleep as she closed her eyes. Little did she know this night would be different.

(An Hour Later);

A bright flash of light woke Twilight up from her sleep. At first she tried to ignore it thinking it was morning already, but something was off as the alarm clock wasn’t going off when it’s usually morning. Even though Twilight tried to sleep still trying her best to ignore the flashes.

Then the flash of light came again and this time caused Twilight to open her sleepy eyes as she got up from her bed and rubbed her eyes with a foreleg while saying, “Huh? Wha… what was that light all of a sudden?”

Before she knew it Twilight got out of bed and made her way to the nearby window in her bedroom. She had to make sure she didn’t wake Spike up as the little drake was snoozing away in his basket like bed without a care in the world. It was a bit surprising that he didn’t even notice the light minutes ago. Guess he’s a heavy sleeper.

Twilight soon reached the window of her room and opened it up. She looked outside and to her surprise there was nothing in sight. Nothing out of the ordinary just completely normal.

The smart alicorn raised an eyebrow and said to herself, “Okey… that was strange. I could of sworn there was-“

Before she could finish a bright light lit up in the sky and it blinded Twilight. She could tell what it was or what was making it. Whatever it was it wasn’t pony made.

The light then began to get brighter and brighter as Twilight tried to block out the light closing her eyes tight. However, it was no use as the light got so bright everything went completely white and Twilight faded into unconsciousness. As she did her body was pulled up out of the window and into the light. And after that everything went a blinding white.

Everything began to come back to her Twilight began to regain consciousness as her eyes slowly opened and was met with a bright light. However, Twi felt her body laying on what felt like a gurney which was usually found in hospitals and her body had something over it. Also she felt like there was something over her body like a gown of some kind. A hospital gown perhaps. Besides there was no way she ended up in the hospital when that bright light made her black out.

So the question was where was she right now?

Slowly the blurriness and brightness died down and Twilight’s eyes adjusted to its surroundings. As her eyes adjusted Twi thought she could see what looked like a surgical light right above her producing light from it and strangely the piece of medical equipment had an alien design to it although it was circular like most surgical lights. As she looked at the object above Twilight to herself, ‘What… is that? It looks like a surgical light, but why does it look so different?’

Twilight soon turned her head to the left as the last remains of her grogginess left her mind. What she found next was mind blowing. The lavender alicorn had found herself in what looked like a futuristic lab like room that was both scientific and clinical at the same time. The sealing of room had a light bluish cyan color with the room shaped like a large circle with a lot of room in this place. The walls were smooth and had a light blue color while the floor had a metallic very light blue color that was almost white. The other side had what looked like a large computer terminal which also looked alien in design as well.

Whatever this place was it looked like came out from one of those comic books that Shining Armor used to read as a colt when they were younger. Whatever this place was it wasn’t anywhere Twilight been to before. Besides she knew hospitals wouldn’t have this sleek looking rooms especially the operating rooms.

“What in the world?! Where the hay am I?!”, said Twilight in shock as she had fully taken in her surroundings.

Twilight tired to get up from whatever she was laying on right now, but when did she felt tight straps over her body including her forelegs. That meant Twi couldn’t move her body at all. She raised her head up and saw her body laying back first on futuristic lab/medical table with stripe like restraints on her forelegs, body, and back legs. The lavender alicorn also noticed she was wearing a sea green colored hospital gown made just for her and appeared to be based on the ones used in the Ponyville General Hospital.

As she looked at her restrained body that rested on the medical table panic began to creep over Twilight before she said out loud, “Wait? Why am I strapped to this table for?! What’s going on here?!!”

Knowing she had to get out of whatever this place was Twilight tried get up again, but the restraints that were holding her down was too strong for her to break. They were tight too probably to keep her restrained on this thing. After 5 minutes of trying she reluctantly gave up.

So if brute force wouldn’t work then Twilight would just use her magic instead to get free. However, when she tried to use her magic she couldn’t feel it in her horn as something was blocking her magic from being channeled into it. Twilight then began to realize there some kind of metal ring on the base of her horn which was preventing her from using her magic. Whoever, whatever captured her must of put in a lot of countermeasures to make sure Twilight was unable to use her alicorn magic almost like she was being observed from a distance without knowing it. The only thing she could think of which may be able to pull something like this off was technology. Like really advanced technology from outer space.

Realizing she had no way of getting off this table Twilight sighed begrudgingly as she gave up trying to escape. She laid her head back down on the pillow behind her head before saying to herself annoyed and a bit scared in her voice, “Well… looks like I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. But who or what knew how to neutralize my alicorn magic with just technology?”

Twilight’s answer to her question would soon come rather quickly when she heard sounds come from the front of the room. Hearing the sound caused Twi to lift her head up again to see the source of the noise moments ago. What she saw at the end of the room were two wide and tall doors which probably was the entrance and exit to this room. Twilight quietly gulped hoping whatever made the noise was friendly. Soon the doors slid open with a hiss accompanied with an alien like hum sound and coming into the room was an actual living and breathing extraterrestrial, however, it was wearing medical scrubs and caps like ponies and stallions wore in operating rooms. However, this being wasn’t alone as a crew of similar beings matching its appearance and wearing the same clothing walked in too they must be alien nurses and surgeons which would explain why the had medical scrubs on. Twilight noticed on their faces that they didn’t have surgical masks on, but instead had strange looking respirators on their mouths which perhaps act as translating devices to establish communication with other beings.

Normally, Twilight would go all egghead mode and that she was literally seeing real aliens, but right now these aliens had abducted her and now she was a living specimen for study and examination. Immediately fear rushed through the alicorn’s heart as the aliens came over to the table she was on with the first alien that entered the room standing beside her looking down at her. Adrenaline began to rush her Twilight’s vains as the basic fight or flight instinct, but with her body completely restrained and her magic nullified there was nothing Twilight could do right now.

As the aliens were preforming their designated duties in the room and even turning on the computer terminal in the room Twilight yelled to them especially the one that was right beside her table with frightened tears forming in her eyes, “Get away from me! I want to go home!”

However, one of the aliens said something to a fellow alien that Twi couldn’t understand, but it seemed to be talking about her. A sense of nervousness washed over her as it became clear where she was now. Twilight was onboard an alien starship which was probably the strange white light saw that made her black out back at her home. Then when she was out cold these aliens scooped her up and took her aboard their ship and now was at their mercy. Now she knew how little animals felt when they’re used in tests by Ponies and stallions. This time it was the other way around as it was now Twi’s turn to be used as a lab specimen.

Soon the alien near the table said something again in an unfamiliar alien language and it was almost like it was towards Twilight. As she looked at the being Twi sniffed said to it, “I… I can’t understand what you’re saying to me.”

Realizing Twilight couldn’t understand what it was saying to her the alien being then pressed something on its mask. After that a computerized voice came soon after as the alien’s voice was translated into English as it spoke to Twilight in a male voice, “Please don’t be frightened, little one. You’re in safe hands.”

Realizing that alien thanks to its strange respirator like mask on its face allowed it to speak her native language Twilight soon said back to it nervously, “O-okay. Please don’t hurt me.”

As she just finished talking one of the other aliens brought over a medical green colored sheet which were usually used surgical procedures. It placed it over Twi’s body and made sure her right foreleg was visible. Twilight gulped and wondered what they were preparing to do to her. It was almost like they were preparing her for surgery of some kind.

Soon the alien that spoke to Twilight soon said back to her, “We promise you that you’ll not be harmed in any way. However, since we had come across your planet recently while on an exploration mission to nearby nebula we would need to study you for a bit since we’re unfamiliar with your kind before we can return you home.”

That didn’t help Twilight present situation as her eyes immediately shrank with fear. They were going to study her and perhaps were going see what made her tick too. That also meant extract samples from her including surgically extracting living tissue samples from her body. That’s why she was in this room! This was some kind of alien operating room laboratory!

She had to get out of here! That is if she could.

“You’ll be home soon. We’re just preform some tests and medical examinations on you. ”,said the alien trying to reassure Twilight that she’ll be home with her friends and family soon. He then looked a colleague who was with another fellow alien that was analyzing a 3d holographic projection of Twilight with her wings open to their full length and said to him or her, “Bring the anesthetic machine over here so we can sedate the specimen.”

The other alien nodded response to the first alien and went over to the right side of the room to get whatever it was asked to get. Seconds later Twilight heard wheels of a trolley of some kind from the right side of the room that other alien went over to and looked to see it pushing what looked like an anesthetic machine. This one looked extremely high tech and alien in design which beat the ones in Eques’ hospitals by a large margin and had pieces equipment hooked up to it so it could monitor a subject’s vital signs. It had a computer monitor which was being turned on showing a blank display for a individual’s vital signs, congruent black colored ribbed hoses, a ventilator, tanks containing oxygen and the basic sedative for general sedation which were hooked up to the machine, a medical blue colored rubber breathing bag, and a black anesthesia mask made to fit over Twilight’s muzzle made out of a unknown rubber like material with the front of the mask connected to a Y shaped adapter on the front of the mask.

Twilight watched as the alien anesthetic machine was brought behind her and stopped while the alien that brought it over brought over a hovering chair of some kind and sat down on it. Then he or she began to check the machine to see if it was ready to be used for the procedures today. The lavender alicorn soon looked back at the first alien that spoke to her as she asked it in a frightened voice, “But how can you assure me that no harm will come to me? I don’t even know if I can trust you.”

The first alien understanding Twilight’s fears and concerns about her current situation knew it must calm her down. After all he didn’t become a surgeon for nothing when his patients were about to undergo surgery for the first time or have concerns about going under anesthesia. Soon the alien spoke back to Twilight saying to her in response, “I understand if you don’t trust us, but I can assure you that we will get you home in one piece. You have my word.”

Then he did something that Twilight expected him to do as he brought over his rubber gloved left hand and gently stroked the alicorn’s cheek very gently and smoothly in a circular manner. Twilight even saw that these aliens had five fingers just like a human being and had two hands too. This began to make Twi think were these beings actually highly evolved humans thanks to years of evolution in a distant part of the galaxy. This helped her calm down a bit which made the first alien know he was gaining her trust.

Soon he said to Twilight as they had to put her under soon, “Now, before we place the mask on you, we should introduce ourselves. I’m Alpha and I will be your head surgeon today. The individual with the anesthesia machine is named Theta, he will also be monitoring your vital signs as well. Then we have Beta, Omega, Delta and Zeta as our nurses, and they will be assisting us in the operation. I know you don’t trust us now but please believe me that you will be in safe hands. So, are you willing to cooperate with us so we can begin?”

Twilight looked at Alpha and knew she wasn’t going anywhere any time soon since she was strapped down to alien operating table. It was best for her to cooperate with them. Besides they wouldn’t be sedating her if they were concerned about her wellbeing. Also Alpha was being honest and he wanted Twi to trust him and his colleagues.

With no other option left Twilight gave in and decided to cooperate with the aliens. So Twilight said to Alpha trying to put on a brave face and putting what little trust she had in them said to the head surgeon, “O-okey. I’ll cooperate with you all just be… gentle with me.”

“Don’t worry. We’ll be extremely gentle with you.”, said Alpha as he then looked at one of the nurses named Zeta was waiting nearby him, “Zeta. You help Beta prepare to administer the IV solution.”

Zeta nodded in reply and said to Alpha as she had activated her respirator’s translator function as a computer generated female voice speaking in English came from her, “Right away Alpha.”

Soon Zeta headed into the back of the room and soon came back with a IV drip on a hovering pole of some kind and placed it on the right side of the medical table since Twi’s right foreleg was kept visible. The piece of equipment had two bags to one was for the sedative while other was to keep Twilight hydrated while she was under anesthesia. Soon one of the nurses the one named Beta puts a tourniquet on Twilight’s right foreleg’s forearm so they could find a vein to inject the intravenous needle. Once a vein is felt, the Beta rubs some alcohol on Twi’s right forearm.

Then Beta looks at the alicorn pony and said to her in a similar voice that Zeta had when she activated her mask’s translator function, “Are you ready? This will only hurt for a minute. ”

Twilight looks at Beta and nods in reply as she was ready. Beta brings intravenous needle to the spot where she dabbed Twi’s right foreleg’s forearm with the rubbing alcohol. Twi soon closed her eyes bracing herself for the needle and before long the needle pierces Twi’s skin making her wince in a bit of discomfort. Once the IV was in Beta placed a bandage over the needle as the solution and the fluids began to be administered to Twilight. After that wires with small black circles pads connected to the anesthetic machine were connected to Twi two were placed underneath her hospital gown on her chest and two more on the sides of the alicorn’s head. They were to help track Twi’s heart rate, pulse, and brain activity. At the same time Delta strapped an advanced looking blood pressure cuff over Twi’s right foreleg and once it was on and puffed up by its puffer ball while the anesthetic machine’s computer monitor began to beep and show Theta their subject’s vital signs. The Heart rate display on the monitor was colored light green, brain activity display was light blue, pulse display was colored light pink, and the blood pressure display was colored bright yellow. Heart rate was at 103 which was a bit high thanks to Twi’s nervousness about the whole situation she was in right now. Brain activity was spiking a bit, but nothing too serious. Blood pressure and pulse rate were normal levels.

Then Twilight was given the cap that patients wore during surgery as her head was lifted up and the cap was put on over her mane by Omega who happened to be a male like Alpha. Now she was ready for general sedation.

Soon Theta looks down at Twilight who was looking up at her from the operating table as she soon said to her, “Are you ready for the anesthetic? Once it’s on, I’ll help calm you down by rubbing your right foreleg as you breathe in the gas.”

Twilight reluctantly nodded in reply as she was ready and secretly hoping nothing would go wrong while she was under. Her life was in these aliens hands. At that moment Theta opened the valves for the anesthetic machine as hissing of gas could be heard in the room. Twilight tried to be brave despite being somewhat scared as she never had anesthesia before making this her first time. Soon after Theta picked up the black anesthesia mask and brought it over to Twilight as she watched the mask descend for her face. The mask soon covered Twilight’s muzzle as it was placed over it and Theta had to reposition her hands placing them under the pony’s chin while holding onto the mask.

Now with the mask over Twi’s muzzle Theta said to her in a soothing and calming tone of voice, “Just relax and take slow deep breaths.”

Twilight did so as she took a deep breath from the mask and exhaled out as she heard her muffled breathing. She took another deep breath again and repeated the process over and over again. As Twilight breathed from the machine the medical blue rebreather bag inflates and deflates with each passing breath as the gas enters her system. The scent must have been sweet as Twilight smelled something like cupcakes and bubblegum put into one from the gas she was breathing in right now.

Twilight began to relax as she kept breathing from the anesthetic machine as heard sounds from her breathing, the ventilator, and the rhythmic beeping on the computer monitor on the anesthetic machine tracking her vitals signs. She then feels gentle rubbing on her left foreleg as she sees Bata rubbing it in circular motion. This was helping her relax and combined with the gas mixture she was breathing in right now was helping her relax. She felt safe.

As she kept breathing from the machine a growing feeling of sleepiness was slowly starting to creep over her body. She wanted to just close her eyes and drift off into a peaceful sleep. Not to mention Twi’s body began to tingle. And there were times the sealing began to get wavy which was probably thanks to the anesthesia.

As Twilight kept breathing from the mask she saw Theta looking down at her as she said to her gently and soothingly, “That’s it. Breathe deeply and start counting backwards from 100.”

Then Theta looked towards the anesthetic machine and said to Zeta who was close by checking Twilight’s vitals, “Zeta increase the dosage of the anesthesia as she reaches 90.”

“Yes, Dr. Theta.”, said Zeta as she went over to the anesthetic machine to increase the sedative dosage when Twi counts back to 90.

Twilight heard this and knew it was almost time for her drift off into dreamland. So far she was doing okey and now she was in the home stretch. As she looked at the black mask on her muzzle that was breathing from now she thought to herself, ‘Okey. Here we go…’

Soon Twilight in a muffled yet growing sleepy tone of voice began to count backwards and she continued to breathe from the anesthesia mask, “100, 99, 98, 97, 96, 95, 94, 93, 92, 91, 90…”

Twi continued to count back from 100 doing what Theta told her to do. As she kept breathing and counting back the sedative dosage was increased after 90. It was during this Theta attached the mask with a harness around Twilight’s head to make sure the mask didn’t fall off her. All of Twilight’s senses were numbed by the anesthesia and had this overwhelming feeling of safety as she kept breathing from the mask. She was scared over nothing and these aliens were going to take good care of her.

Alpha watched as Twilight kept breathing from the anesthetic machine before he began to stroke her left cheek with his gloved left hand in a slow, gentle, and circular manner as he said to her, “That’s a good girl. You’ll be home really soon. But now, just breathe in the gases and let all your worries float away.”

Twilight kept breathing from the mask the breathing bag on the anesthetic machine expanded and shrank with each breath she took. Everything began to get blurry as Theta, the anesthesia mask on her nuzzle, and the surgical light behind Theta became a blurry shape mixed with different colors and Twi could only hear her own breathing by now. Soon she let sleep claim her as Twilight blissfully let her fluttering eyes close as everything was swallowed up by darkness as her mind went to sleep. After that silence came and everything was quiet.

Back in the physical world Alpha and his group watched as Twilight went completely under anesthesia. The beeping for Twilight’s heart rate from the monitor had slowed to a normal beeping rhythm. However, they then deactivated an additional function on their masks where turned out to be advanced camouflage technology to console their true appearances. The group was comprised of humanoid aliens and also a species that many Equestrians called legends on their planet humans. It was done to conceal their true identities to other intelligent beings when making very early first contact situations or studying a selected member of the planet’s population until it was right to reveal their true identities to that world’s populace. It was a standard practice for the Galactic Federation a Galaxy spanning government in the Milky Way Galaxy that is comprised of many different worlds and species. And just recently Earth had joined the Federation and humanity now flew among the stars with their alien allies encountering new worlds and undiscovered alien species. Not to mention efforts to explore other universes via wormholes which act as bridges between different dimensional universes across space and time.

The individual that had the code name Theta who was a female humanoid alien being with light blue colored skin and had human like eyes looked at the figure that the code name Alpha who happened to be a human male in his late 30s with peach white skin and with blue eyes. She smiled at the man and said to him, “Good job Eric. Guess all that experience as a surgeon back on Earth really helped out in this situation.”

The human named Eric looked at feminine light blue skinned alien being with a smile on his face before saying to her, “Thanks Crystal. Now let’s get to work. Emma and Grace you keep an eye on Twilight’s vitals.”

The two nurses who had the code names Zeta and Beta were human females in their early 30s. Emma had a tanish white colored skin and had green colored eyes while Grace had peach colored skin with brown eyes. Both looked really smart and experienced since this was their first medical examination of an equestrian being after all this was also their first space mission after they completed their space training on Earth.

Emma nodded back at the lead surgeon and said to him reply, “You got it Doc.”

“Understood Dr.Eric.”, said Grace with a military discipled tone of voice.

Soon the two humans females pulled out traditional surgical masks that they kept in their gowns’ pockets. They placed the masks over their noses and mouths before they helped each other tie the strings for the masks around the back of their heads. Once they tied on correctly the two went over to the anesthetic machine to monitor Twilight’s vital signs. Eric and the other members of his team except for one pulled out their own surgical masks and put them on just like their colleagues. Also Eric placed clear lenses glasses over his eyes which had advanced next gen HUD technology combining human engineering with alien technology. They came on immediately and scanned the sleeping form of Twilight which soon brought up the data on her vitals.

Then Eric looked at the individual that was given the code name Omega. That individual was a human male, but he had deep brown skin with a reddish undertone signifying his Native American roots and had grey colored eyes. He was slightly younger than Eric about two years younger than him and his name was Andrew, but his name from his native tribe which was of the Navajo tribe is Desert Wolf. Next to him was a female bipedal being with a pointed beak like face who had a specially made respirator to substitute for a surgical mask. She had turquoise color skin with a light green colored underside with human/reptilian like eyes where were yellow-green colored. Her hands which almost looked like claws had only three fingers which was common for her species. Her name was Anris and she had the code name Delta.

Soon Eric said to the two nurses, “Drew. Anris. You’ll be assisting me with the procedures and tests.”

“Understood sir.”, answered Drew as walked over to the table and pulls down an advance looking surgical laser tool that functions like a scalpel from the surgical light which comes equipped with advanced surgical instruments.

Soon Anris straightened up the cover over Twilight body and had took the liberty of pulling up the lower part of the alicorn’s hospital gown somewhat so they can start with an incision on Twi’s center. Besides this will be her first time seeing the inside of an equestrian being especially one of the alicorns. She positioned the cover which had a bit of an opening over the place the first incision was to be made which was also where they’ll extract living tissue sample.

At last Anris spoke to Drew and Eric as they had a certain lavender alicorn to return home after they were done extracting samples from her and completing the tests and exams on the pony, “Well let’s get to work. We can’t have this pony’s friends and family be worried sick about her missing.”

“You heard the lady. Let’s get to work.”, agreed Eric as he and Drew prepared to make the first incision on Twilight’s body.

The human surgeon soon looked at the sleeping form of Twilight as she took shallow breaths from the anesthesia mask on her face. As he gazed at her the human said to her quietly, “Sweet dreams Twilight. You’ll be back home really soon.”

With that Eric prepared the laser scalpel as he pull the trigger of the tool and the front part lit up with bluish cyan light forming an energy blade. He began to create the incision on Twi’s body as his colleagues assisted him in anyway they could. Thankfully, when Twilight wakes up all of this would be nothing more than just a distant memory.

(Next Morning;)

The next thing Twilight knew was waking up from her slumber. Everything felt groggy and her eyes felt like lead as she tried to open them. However, her senses came back to her as she managed to open her eyes and find herself in her bedroom. Strangely enough she had this strange pounding headache for some odd reason.

As she looked around the room Twilight heard yawning and looked towards the source of said sound as she saw Spike waking up from his sleep. As the young purple drake woke up he said to Twilight in a groggy tone of voice, “‘Yawn’… Morning Twilight.”

“Good morning Spike.”, said Twilight with a smile on her muzzle as she rolled out of bed and placed her hooves on the floor.

As she did something in Twilight mind flashed before her as she saw herself sleeping peacefully with black mask over muzzle breathing deeply and peacefully from a machine behind her. Everything was foggy and Twi could see unknown figures around her doing something to her like they were examining and preforming medical tests on her. After that Twilight snapped back into reality shaking her head getting whatever she saw out from her head.

Spike saw this and asked Twilight with a bit of a concerned look on his face, “Hey Twilight? Are you okey? You just zoned out for a moment.”

Twilight looked at her number 1 assistant and put on a reassuring smile on her face before saying to Spike in response, “I’m fine Spike. Let’s go down stairs and get some breakfast.”

Spike unsure of Twilight’s answer to her sudden zone out moment just shrugged and got out of his basket before heading downstairs to whip up some breakfast. Twilight followed behind him and as they headed down strange feelings began to crawl up from the alicorn’s mind. It was strange for some reason as Twilight had this strange feeling that something happened to her last night, but whatever happened slipped away from her as if she couldn’t remember what it was. She remembered a strange flash of light coming out from outside her room’s window and opened it up to check it out. After that nothing, but for some reason Twi knew something happened to her yet she couldn’t remember what it was that happened.

Adding to the confusion was strange visions of her in some kind of operating room under going surgery or something. But she couldn’t remember going to the hospital for some surgical procedure recently. These questions continued to plague her mind until she decided that whatever happened last night was best to be forgotten. Besides the visions she were seeing were just dreams maybe she just dreamed it up in her sleep.

However, Twilight didn’t know underneath her left foreleg’s shoulder was an implant that very small and harmless for her to notice. She had no idea what she experienced the last night, but there was one for sure. Those she encountered in these strange dreams would return and make first contact with Terra and an unexpected reunion with those that she saw in her dreams in an unexpected situation.
