A very unusual pairing. Roderick Rat, Roddy to his classmates, is a student at Perfecto Prep, the elitist rival of Acme Looniversity. A champion swimmer, runner, football player and even miniature golfer, Roddy's true passion is baseball, and he lives to defeat his hated rival Buster Bunny. But after failing to strike out Buster at the big Acme vs. Perfecto baseball game due to Buster changing the script, the rat pitcher is left feeling utterly humiliated.
Refusing the consolations from his equally snobby, perfectionist friends (such as they are), Roderick finds himself alone in the locker room when a strange rat enters. Emmanuel Wolfington Rat III, he calls himself. A longtime donor to Perfecto, the shady but urbane rat has had his eye on the school's star player for some time. After watching the game, in which Roddy was Perfecto's pitcher, Emmanuel, or Manny as he insists on being called, suggests that the younger rat try his hand at batting.
Having always prided himself on his curve ball, Roddy has never given too much thought to batting, and so Manny elects to privately coach him. Things begin to get a little awkward, though, when the older rat insists on standing directly behind the junior, right up against him, as he "assists" Roddy in adjusting his batter's stance... and anyone who knows even the slightest thing about me can see where this is headed. Let's just say baseball isn't the only thing Manny wants to coach Roddy in.
Also featured is an alternate version of the previous pic. For some reason, in a couple of the episodes he appeared in (Miniature Goof in particular), Roddy was gray with a lighter complexion 'round his face, and a different tail. So I did a second version of his private practice session with Manny featuring him in his "alternate" colors.
