I forgot about that, hmm you make a fair point, I keep forgetting in most comics they portray Knuckles as intelligent sure he did fall for Dr. Robotnik's manipulation, but he got wise after words, but in video games and tv shows he is portayed as gullible and dumb... but I prefer how they portray him in the comics cause after betrayed by the doc he gets wise, example he found a Emerald the same size as the master emerald in mystic cave zone, he replaces the master emerald with it to trick enemies, the Real Master emerald is now hidden where it can't be detected by Eggman's Emerald energy finding device, in fact the fake one does have its own energy but not as powerful as the Master Emerald but its enough to fool the Doc's device, and once more in the Idw Fang's mini series you are right knuckles does set traps for team hooligans.
