"Twin countdowns"

Helping out around an aquatic city, Lenn traveled through its maintenance tunnels to get to where his next job was. Said tunnels were simpler than he'd expected them to be, with plenty of maps showing where he was and where to go. There was one issue though: They were pretty clearly not made with air-breathers in mind. There weren't air sources anywhere in the tunnels, so he'd have to entirely leave them to go breathe.

On one route in particular, he'd somewhat miscalculated how long of a swim it'd be, and he went quite the distance without any exit point for him to go to the surface... As his strain grew more and more, a blue blush appearing on his face, he finally found an access hatch and hit the button next to it to start the process of it opening. A robotic voice told him it'd be opening soon, and started a countdown from 20 not long after his mind started a countdown from 30 - he was on the verge of drowning. He did his best to hold on and wait, knowing that even once the hatch opened there was still some distance to get to the surface...

This marks the end of the Friendbruary art! squirtlerocks07 and I both had a great time with this, and we'll more than likely be doing it again next year.
