Most university hospitals have a Sleep Lab, consisting of 10 - 20 bedrooms and a central monitoring station. Lab Techs there monitor the patients and replace any sensor/wire that might have fallen off the patient during sleep. My old college has a Sleep Lab connected with the local large hospital.
