Laconia, Fell Isle - Sólmánuður 414.I.E
Along the shores of Laconia, there is a Young Fell Isles Spot hound girl who collects sea shells from the sands when she hears, "Found anymore sea shells?"
She turns to him and says, "Yes dad, I even found a shell from a limb-shell (Ammonite)." The girl says to her father with a cheerful tone as she proceeds to show her dad the shell in question.
"Ah, that's pretty," he replies as the two walk to their village. They reached their wooden house with her mother, who was working on the family farm with little Franky next to his mother. "I found a Limb-shell mother." Chloe says as her mother turns to see the shell and says, "The nice dear, and what else did you find?"
"More seashells and a tooth of a swimmer," Chloe explains as her mother says that great and asks her husband to help her with the grain for bread. She asks for Chloe to watch over her baby brother, and the girl nods and sits beside her. Both her parents threw bags of grain in a cart for their Mega-three-horns (Megaloceratop). "Go on, Knucks," He says to the Mega-three-horn as the beast groans and moves whilst pulling the wooden cart towards the family house. Chloe picks up her baby brother and walks alongside Knucks to the house with her parents following from behind.
As they reach to the house, Frank goes to open the grain silo while Chloe takes her little brother inside. The baby fusses and whines as Chloe gives him a shell to play with. The baby tries to eat it as Chloe swaps it out with a chewing bone. Her brother chews on the chewing bone as she goes to place the shells on the table to sort out.
She etched runes on several of the shells, including the Limb-shell she collected. "Wotin, Blessa þessar skeljar fyrir móður mína og fyrir föður minn." She spoke as the runes began to glow for a moment. With the shells enchanted with seidr, she began to make a necklace with the shell-limb's shell. It didn't take too long before she was finished and showed it to her little brother. The baby didn't pay too much attention as she went to sit on the couch and waited for her parents to enter.
When they do, she shows them her necklace. Her mother says it looked good, and she did a good job as the young girl smiles and says she enchanted them with seidr. "Ah, the cull of the seidr, eh. You know, Chloe, there's a lot to learn from seidr. What seidr spells did you call for?" Her mother asks as she asks Wotin to bless them.
------
By noon, Chloe returns to the beach to gather more sea-shells when she stumbles upon a beached Knob-swimmer (Tylosaurus). Strangely enough, the beast seems fine despite being out from water. It even had a saddle attached to it made from leather with a errie design that resembles bone. There was also paint on the animal's face with markings she'd never seen before.
Chole approaches the beast with caution as it hisses. "Are you ok?" She asks the animal as she hears, "He is fine child."
She turns to see a pangaean unlike anyother. It took the appearance of a Swimming sharp-tooth with scaly legs and arms with four sharp clawed fingers on each hand. Its tail is also liken to a swimming sharp-tooth. It held a spear-like weapon with its right hand and a casket with its left.
"Can you lead me to the one named Lord Pongo of Undon?" The being asked her with a hissy serpentine voice. Hesitant for a moment, but she managed to gather courage and says "This is Laconia, Undon is north of here, and how do you know Master Pongo?"
"By his reputation, child." The reptilian replied as he hopped on his Knob-swimmer and spoke in a language as the beast began to float as if it was in water, while not in water. "Whoa, how do you do that?"
"Its air-water, only those bound to the ocean know this spell, and there's only a small sect of tribes that know it." The reptilian wanderer spoke as Chloe nodded. The beast only hovered a few inches off the ground, but regardless, the wanderer rode off to seek out Pongo, but not before Chloe asking for the identity of his home. "Nehekori..." He said before riding off.
By dusk, as the family was eating dinner, Chloe asked her parents about Nehekori, and her father answered, "Nehekori... Where did you hear about that?"
"I saw this weird pangaean. He looked like a Swimming sharp-tooth, his legs were like a fite bitter but webby, and he was looking for Master Pongo."
"But what would a Nehekori Pangaean want with Master Pongo?" Her father asks as Chloe shrugs and says, "I dunno. He wanted to meet Pongo of Undon?"
"Well, to answer your question, Chloe, Nehekori is a fringe land underneath the western ocean. Their true origins are unclear, even to the Pangaeans from before our age, with several ideas about their origins, but they are only ideas. It is rare for a Nehekori pangaean to leave their home, let alone for one to come here." Her father explained to his daughter.
"Why that?"
"Well to be honest with you, Chloe, none one knows. Forever now, they have been spoken as myth, much like the Fell and the Giant Wings." Frank spoke with clearance. He grabs a cloth to clean his mouth and tells Chloe that if this Nehekori Pangaean returns, stay clear, as their intent is unknown. He nods without question and continues eating.
----
The next day came, Chloe is searching for more seashells alongside a Pink fur Pudel (Poodle). "Where did you say you found the Floating swimmer?"
"It was right here Coco, the Nehekori Pangaean used his Seiðr magic to lift the sea monster; it floats as if it were still underwater and even moves the same as if it were underwater," Chloe tells her friend.
"And this Pangaean wanted to see master Pongo, what for?" Coco asks when another cynoea meets up with them. A outlander from a land far from Pangaea. Her fur matches the color of the sands, even if her silk and wool clothing didn't, but were still elegant with knots and other decor. "Good morning, Chloe and Coco," she says to the two friends.
"Good morning, Indy, we are finding more seashells to mark with runes," Chole tells the Vaconis hound. "And Chloe saw a Nehekori Pangaean," Coco informs Indy. The Vaconis hound was surprised by this news and asked if they already informed the Chieftian of Laconia. "I don't think so." Chole tells Indy bluntly when Coco suggests that they go find this pangaean. "I don't think its a good idea Coco, my parents and Indy's mom wouldn't be too happy if we leave Laconia to find some Pangaean. Besides, what if we end up being taken by the Fell?"
Chloe argues, as Coco says, that the Fell were just stories, and if they're real than they would've attacked Laconia. But Chloe still declines Coco's suggestion and argues that sharp-tooth roam the wildlands and ask if she remembers that day when they played wildgirls and were nearly killed by a pack of two-claws. "Yes, I remember, and Indy uses magics to calm those bastards."
"And they never attack again, and there was one time near the waters when the Mega-tooth swimmer (Megalodon) got near the longship my mom and I were on. My mother used Seiðr to calm the beast." Indy tells her friends as Coco makes another suggestion to walk along the shore to see where it ends.
"I done that before. It isn't a long walk," Chloe says to Coco, thinking that Coco still wants to explore outside the comfort of Laconia. She still urges her friends to explore, stating they can still find more seashells and maybe a larger shell from a hornshell (Cameroceras).
"That would be a marvelous find. What do you say, Indy?" Chloe questions the outlander as Indy was hesitant to say anything. "I don't know, weren't you against going too far from Laconia?"
"Yes, but the walk isn't long or too far, we'll still be in Laconia Indy, and I don't think that the Fell will attack. Even then, the warriors of Laconia will be warned of any Fell or Wotin damn, the Laurasian from the east." Chloe explains, Indy still had doubts but ultimately agrees to go.
For an hour, they explore the shoreline, finding seashells and conch shells and even encountering a massive shell-flipper (Archelon) laying her eggs before returning to the sea. Indy was in awe at such a magnificent sight.
They would reach the end of the beach where waves met jagged rocks, where sand-creepers crawled along the sand and rocks. "Too bad there's no hornshell to take home," Coco says when hers, Indy, and Chloe's ears pick up sound from the hill alongside small rumbles. "Sharp tooth?" Indy utters when they see a pack of toe-claw flyers (Mutadons) coming from the hill. "Are those things?" Coco asks as Chloe shugs and suggests they walk away slowly. Yet one of the five dinosaurid beasts looked at the girls and began to slowly make its way to them, hunger in its eyes.
Both Chloe and Coco begin to show fear while Indy remains calm. She stared at the Toe-claw flyer in its eye and spoke in her native language. The beast becomes ataractic with Chloe and Coco appualding, but the other four Toe-clawed flyers began to surround the girls. The Fell Isle spot hound her, the Pudel asks for Indy to calm the other beast when one of the toe-claw flyers took a blast of Lightning bolt to its neck, blowing a hole and killing it, causing the remaining four to leave. They face the right to see the wanderer on his knob-swimmer. The girls thank the Nehekori pangaean as it nods and asks Indy if she's from the Desert land of Vaconis.
Indy answered with a yes and asked how he knew she was from there. "Your spell is a vaconis spell. I've only heard of that spell within the great library of Laramidia within Nehekori. Where lost knowledge and hidden history are stored. Only those worthy and able to survive the abyss can enter." He tells the Vaconis girl as he and his mount made their way to the shore, but Chloe asks him if he'd found Master Pongo of Undon?
He said nothing more and submerged himself in the waters. The girls returned to Laconia and sought to find more seashells. Near the end of the day, Chloe was sitting by the fire with her baby brother. The baby was chewing on his chew bone as Chloe sat with her parents on the couch and said that she saw the Nehekori pangaean again at the beach before he left. "Ah, really now, it just so happens that I got word from Master Pongo. According to him, his meeting with this wanderer went ok for them. Beyond that, everything else is between him and this wanderer.
