I own a copy of "Fantasy Genesis: a Creative Game for Fantasy Artists", which is a book containing series of tables for random generation of fantastic creatures of all stripes.
For this one, I rolled, and selected: Deer - Sand - Axe - Microchips - Gaunt - Insane. Putting it all together, I got a deer techno-zombie (or something) wandering through a Desert.
