"Record attempt"
Nasir's been setting aside some time to improve his breath holding ability - something that he does indeed need to go out of his way for, as having his wand prevents him from getting any better. With it nearby just in case, and a watch to track his time, he always dives somewhere - today it's a pool - and holds on as long as he can. This attempt was actually going much better than usual, as he was absolutely determined to not give up no matter what. Holding his beak shut with one hand, covering his nostrils with the other, he fought with everything he had. So close to his record... A few more seconds...
A couple seconds after this image, Nasir's beak shot open as a huge cloud of bubbles billowed out with a gurgled squawk, and he could only hold off gasping for just long enough to frantically return to the surface. Maybe next time.
