Team Bushfire had been working tirelessly ever since they got promoted to silver rank, mainly driven by their desire to prove themselves worthy of such honor. For weeks, they had been tackling rescue jobs, dungeon charting expeditions, and the occasional outlaw arrest, almost back-to-back. Both members of the team, Cyndaquil, an amnesiac former human, and his often meek yet loyal partner, Treecko, were highly motivated and in high spirits after their promotion following a successful expedition. They were in fact so focused on work that neither of them expected their guildmaster to suddenly grant them a day off as a reward for their excellent performance in their most recent mission. The fact it was all so sudden also meant that neither of them had any plans on what to do with their newfound free time.

Treecko for his part, wanted to spend their day off showing his partner around town, given how little they had been able to explore since they formed Team Bushfire. In a sense, the quiet Cyndaquil was still a bit of a mystery to the grass type. Beyond knowing about his amnesia, and his status as a supposed former human, Treecko knew little about his friend liked and disliked. A nice stroll around town should give him ample time to get to know his partner a bit better, he thought.

Cyndaquil however, had different plans. Almost immediately after being dispatched by their guildmaster, the usually quiet fire type said that he wanted to spend their free day just relaxing in their shared room. Treecko was initially disappointed but opted to follow his partner wishes after guessing that he was just probably tired after so many jobs in succession. Of course, that was only part of the reason why Cyndaquil had suggested staying in their dorm. Over the few weeks they had known each other, Cyndaquil had been secretly coming to terms with the fact he really liked his partner Treecko. He was talkative, optimistic and generally good company, not to mention how, for whatever reason, the fire type couldn’t take his eyes away from Treecko whenever he was around. However, if there was a part of Treecko the fire type was especially interested in, it was certainly the grass type’s three-toed feet. Almost immediately after first meeting him, Cyndaquil had been fascinated by their shape and how soft they looked. For weeks he had dreamt about getting closer to both the grass gecko and his feet. Fortunately for him, his recent discovery of the guild’s stock of shrink orbs and their impromptu vacation meant that he had a golden chance to achieve both goals.

The first few hours of their free time in their shared dorm were filled with the usual silence occasionally broken by the sound of ninjasks enjoying the heat of the summer afternoon outside, as well as by casual chitchat between the two resting pokemon. Nevertheless, soon Cyndaquil managed to gather the courage to enact his plan and suggest an activity to his partner under the guise of training. The concept caught Treecko’s interest, which prompted Cyndaquil to go on with his explanation. He briefly went over how one of them would turn tiny with a shrinking orb and then climb their partner as if it was a mountain. The fire type made sure to offer himself for a demonstration before Treecko could even voice any doubts about the plan. The grass type himself wasn’t completely sold on the idea but given how his friend was uncharacteristically confident about it, he decided to go along with it.

After making sure to set up everything needed for this new adventure, Treecko sat on his bed while Cyndaquil stood in front of him, holding the shrinking orb. Both had agreed to keep their badges on hand in case they needed to communicate with each other. In addition to that, Cyndaquil had packed the usual gear needed for any other expedition. His bag contained food and water for days, as well as an extra shrink orb he coincidentally forgot to tell his friend about.

Upon activation, the shrinking orb acted immediately, reducing Cyndaquil to a puny 1 inch in size. Fascinated by the sudden change, Treecko leaned down trying to get a closer look at the bright dot currently standing between his feet. At the same time, Cyndaquil made sure to quickly get over the vertigo caused by the shrinking process. As soon as he felt that he could stand up without any hint of dizziness, he dashed towards the green monoliths looming in the distance, also known as Treecko’s toes. At his new size, what once had been cute bulbous toes now looked more like hills, bigger and taller than the one their guild stood on. One thing he quickly took note of as he got closer to Treecko’s foot was just how much stronger his natural scent was at this size. They had been working tirelessly in the morning, which in part explained the scent emanating from the grass type’s stompers. Nevertheless, this just motivated Cyndaquil even further. As soon as he reached the nearest toe, Cyndaquil launched himself against it, basking in the heat surrounding it and how soft it felt to the touch even with their current size difference. Still, not wanting to blow his cover, the fire type started to climb the foot, the second phase of his plan still on his mind. Through all of this, Treecko just looked at his partner with mild amusement, finding it oddly cute how he struggled to climb his foot.

Once Cyndaquil reached the top of Treecko’s foot, he decided to take things even further. In order to make it seem like an accident, he took his badge and told his partner that he was still feeling weird, as if the orb hadn’t finished the shrinking process. Before Treecko could voice his concern or even attempt to get a closer look at his friend, Cyndaquil activated the second orb he had snuck in, instantly going from 1 inch in size to an insignificant 1/100th of an inch, vanishing from Treecko’s sight and entering the realm of the truly microscopic. Not sure about how much time he had before Treecko truly panicked and sought help from someone else, Cyndaquil ran towards to now country-sized abyss that was the gap between two toes and threw himself in there. Throughout all of that Treecko kept attempting to establish communication with him using his badge, but the fire type decided to keep him on hold for the time being, determined to enjoy this new environment as much as he could.

The air was dense and muggy, tainted with the scent of old and new sweat, proof of how hard Team Bushfire had been working and how much they needed their daily shower. One thing Cyndaquil noticed almost immediately was just how many minuscule particles of grime and toejam were embedded in the skin crevices around him, a contrast with the usual clean-ish image Treecko often tried to portray of himself whenever they were not on duty. Finding a nice elevation right in the middle of the gap, Cyndaquil decided to take a rest, enjoying the sight of the monumental toes flanking him on both sides like vertical continents extending up in the sky far beyond what his eyes could discern. The whole world outside the space between Treecko’s toes was just a bunch of blurry shapes, not that the fire type cared all that much about them, given how his mind was going into overdrive at the fact that he was at last, standing on and surrounded by the object of his desire. As it often happened whenever he was doing something he really liked, a fire was lit from the spots on his back. It was such a passionate moment in fact, that the flares on his back were brighter than ever.

Meanwhile, anxious about any potential dangers his partner might have run into, Treecko took a hold of his leg and bent his foot upward, trying to get a closer look at it and hopefully spot his dear friend. It took him over ten very tense minutes, but at last, he managed to spot an insignificant spark, smaller than any grain of sand, right in the middle of his toegap. His initial relief was turned into confusion when he started to wonder why would Cyndaquil move to such a remote area of his foot, or why would his back shine so much if he only did it in happy occasions. Then it dawned on him. The way he always looked at him after a mission, the way he always stood close by his side, how he insisted on spending time together, and how often he had caught the fire type stealing glances at his feet. At that moment, the only thing Treecko could do was smile and blush. Timidly, he took his badge and told Cyndaquil he had spotted him. The announcement shook the tiny fire type, mainly because it was accompanied by Treecko’s thundering voice nearly deafening him as well as by his massive eye taking over the whole horizon.

What followed was a slightly awkward yet sweet, heartfelt conversation between both friends where Cyndaquil finally came out clean about his feelings towards Treecko, and he in turn told him he felt the same about the fire type, leaving both explorers blushing and ecstatic. After everything was said and done, Treecko decided to let his partner indulge his kink as much as he wanted for however long the orb’s effects lasted. Truth to be told, he had started to enjoy the mental image of Cyndaquil being so close to him. Playing with their sizes would become a recurring team-bonding experience for Team Bushfire from that day on…

First drawing after returning home! I took the first 2 weeks off just to rest and unpack my stuff, but now I’m fully back in the game :3
Nothing too crazy this time. Just some of my usual self-indulgent PMD size-shenanigans as a warm-up. Nevertheless, I hope you guys like it ^^
