Prom night is always a nightmare when you're the shy and introvert dude in class. Getting a polite "no" was the least bad outcome from my attempts at asking a girl out to prom. It all changed when we got the news that, thanks to repeated requests from the Pokemon Trainers' Battling Club, they'd be allowing Pokemon into the prom party for demonstration battles. I don't know if it was sheer audacity, desperation, or something else, but I couldn't help but notice that the rules didn't say the Pokemon could go only for battling. Now, I've had my Mienshao since we were kids and she was still a Mienfoo, we pretty much grew up together, but I was still expecting the Pokemon equivalent of getting dumped when I decided to ask her out. To my surprise, not only she agreed, but was really excited about that idea. And when it came to the prom night, well... she's surprised me again by showing she's got some moves, and not just of the battling kind. Made all of the girls green with envy. By the end of the night, I think both of us were now looking at our relationship in a bit of a different light, and she was definitely very eager to get back home with me. |
