The day had started so simple and enjoyable, he thought. Greta sent him a text saying she was hoping they could hang out today, and he said yes immediately. Cedric got excited, especially when she sent a pic of a new outfit she was gonna wear for their hangout. (It was Coco’s idea to wear it once she heard that Greta wanted to hang out with Cedric. Though Greta wasn’t sure why the monkey insisted on it so much…) Getting washed up and throwing on his best suit, the lynx headed out ready to meet his love.
Only to return home later covered in kiss marks, from an entirely different girl. Seems poor Cedric into Carreta on his way to Greta, and well… the rough and tumble feline was never subtle with her intentions. She even tore apart his suit jacket during the “fun”, to his further dismay. Still, Cedric wasn’t about to give up that easily, so he got cleaned up and put on his second best suit. Time to try again!
Cedric: “Man, Carreta has such a strong grip for a cheetah. Doesn’t help matters that Tina and Gina dragged Oliver and Bartleby away when they came to help me. But I won’t give up!”
Page 2:
Cedric: “I didn’t mind doing a photo shoot with Sybil, but she didn’t have to kiss and fondle me so much…”
The second verse was much like the first, it seems. Trying a different route led Cedric right into Sybil Alova’s crosshairs, and she was quick to seize the opportunity. She dragged him away to shoot some selfies, and steal several kisses from him on camera. Then when the cameras were off, she decided to “reward” her Kotik with a little extra… despite his protests.
Rushing home to rethink his strategy, Cedric found that he lost his other suit jacket as well. Making do with a cute little vest, he swore that he’d reach his destination. Third time's the charm, he thought. Then he ran into Candy, and it became clear what his fate would be. No matter how many times he’d felt her touch, that horny cougar always knew how to blow his mind. Among other parts…
Cedric: “Ugh, Candy just wouldn’t let up. Took me forever to escape from her. How can a woman her age still have such a strong libido…?”
Page 3:
Cedric: “Raven’s a faster runner than I thought, given all that food and sweets I fed her. And the things she did with her mouth… NO! Focus, Scratcher! You’ve got the love of your life waiting for you.”
And finally there was his final admirer, Raven Pantera. The overly eloquent purple panther was eager to take him on a date, and even more eager to smooch him all over. Cedric managed to evade her advances for a bit, but eventually he was cornered and kissed like crazy. Even with all of that, our hero was fueled by love and determination to see the only girl who truly held his heart. Surely he could make up for all of this with the right gift.
Until he discovered that he used up all of his money buying replacement flowers and candy all day. At this point, he only had enough left on him for a single rose and the only good clothes left were his usual threads. With tears in his eyes, he resigned himself to his fate and headed out to see Greta. He was going to get some meaningful experience out of this day, no matter how small.
Cedric: “Why me, God? Please tell me, why me of all people? Maybe if I’m lucky, she’ll at least like this one rose I bought for her.”
If it’s any consolation, Greta actually DID like the rose. And she was even sweet enough to kiss him when she saw that he was feeling down. Even if she actually forgot today was Valentine’s Day. But Cedric was just happy to be with her, regardless of the day’s events.
