"I've been working on this one for a long, long time..."
I am beyond excited to finally share this labor of love! This is a fully hand-embroidered piece featuring Sonic and Shadow, which took me an entire month to complete.
Technique & Details:
Character Fill: I used a dense satin fill to give Sonic and Shadow a smooth, vibrant look that really pops against the black fabric.
Outlines: All the fine details and character expressions are defined with backstitch.
Border: The circular border was created using a couching stitch with red metallic thread, giving the whole piece a subtle, shimmering glow.
Composition: Sonic and Shadow are featured side-by-side in a close, circular composition.
This was definitely a challenge, especially keeping the tension right for such a large area of solid stitching, but seeing them finished makes every hour worth it!
Materials: Embroidery hoop, black fabric, cotton floss, and metallic thread.
