Character Description
Basil lives in Poland and never saw
Australia. He is an ethologist, but works at school as an information security
administrator. He likes to write sci-fi stories, paint, and to fight with a katana.
His ultimate goal is
to live in Australia.
Personality
Very shy and rather stubborn. Being the only kangaroo youth in neighbourhood, he was exposed to a cruelty of other kids - what left a scar on his psychic. He has very few colleagues and even fewer friends, but he is going to do everything for them. He isn't very good with being criticised and often is blue because his work hadn't received positive feedback.
Likes/Dislikes
Loves nature, forests and silence. In contrast to this, he is a motorcycle maniac and owns chopper. He also is rock music fan, especially devoted to Queen and Black Sabbath. He likes reading, computer games, RPGs and coffe.
He hates most of modern popculture, finding it mindless product created only for money, without any trace of artism. He strongly dislikes people who think they can use him or outsmart him without knowing him first
Background/History
Born in april 1983 to Grazine and Thomas, but his father left him and his mother very early. First years of life he had been known as Basil Pruski, after his mothers second husband (a human), when he turned 18 he chose to return to his mother maiden name - Toowoomba, in memory of his australian origin.
He was very delicate child,with very poor health - he used to spend many years in bed with a flu or a pneumonia. His early health problems reacultid with another disease, that almost killed him - lupus (the same disease, that Dr. House loves so much).
In highschool he had discovered roleplaying games - and they changed his life. He found new colleagues, who loved to play as well. Because of RPGs he started to write fantasy and sf stories -and found out, that he is good with this. To this day he won a few writing contests and his story were published in magazines, Internet portals and even in one anthology of polish fantasy stories.
He studied ethnology, because he wanted to learn more about his aboriginal inheritage. He has a master degree in folklorism.
During his studies he had met cute vixen, who was fantasy fan as well. They started dating, and after three years of being together they got married. She was a love of his life - and after only four months of marriage she had cheated on him with his friend. After divorce he was a psychical wreck and got back to his mother. He had finished his studies, got a job, but he couldn't love any more girl. His only solace was his dog, a cute golden retriver bitch, Ira. His life changed again, when he met Arek - far younger, immature, very feminine human boy. They started dating and apparently fall in love.
Last year, Basils mother died. He asked to live (and share a rent) with him.
Today they still live together, but more like brothers than couple. Recently, Basil met certain vixen, Kate...
Relatives/Family
His father still lives, but Basil hates him with all his heart. He also learned that he has two step brothers and a step sister, but he never met them
World/Setting
Our world - only difference is that anthros live along with humans, and are over 50% of population. Certain scecias are more common in certain parts of world - in UK there are more foxes and deer, while in Poland - lynxes and horses. In Russia you have wolves, and in China - mice, rats, firefoxes. Cats are most common in France, while dogs in Germany. Those are only examples of course...
Body
6ft tall, little bit chubby, with reddish-orange fur with many gray, white and black markings - he isn't different from a typical feral red roo. He has some markings of a grey kangaroo - one of his ancestor was gray roo and he managed to inherit those markings somehow.
Clothing
He wears tshirts. Usually black, with a band name or some fantasy theme. When cold, he wears white or gray turtleneck and jacket. in sunny days he adds leather australian hat and sunglasses.
He is always naked from the waist down.
Accessories
leather band on his right wrist, glassess when he is reading, drawing or writing, small military bag with a kangaroo sign on it when he is out. He also always has a tablet and a mobile.
