Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent, god of wind, knowledge, and creation. A deity associated with breath, movement, and the bridge between the earthly and the divine.
During one of his journeys, he meets a small raccoon villager. Curious, unafraid, and grounded to the land, the boy climbed onto the god’s back for a ride. Feeling the wind and earth moving together, and the god carrying a simple sould, showing him his kindness and how open he is for a new friendship.
This piece is composed of four separate watercolor paintings, arranged in four frames to be read as a single panoramic image. The initial sketch was created digitally, then printed on cotton watercolor paper, then painted.
This artwork will be exhibited at the Further Confusion Art Show.
I shared a longer full version of the process video (where you can see myself trying to avoid my cat to step on the painting), you can get it attached on a post exclusive for Patreon and Ko-Fi monthly supporters. Also I'm working on a big piece that commemorates my 10th anniversary on Patreon, which has been so important to me so I can keep creating art and living out of this, and as a thank you I'm drawing all my supporters, jump in and see how you can be part of it!
