Long ago the secret to immortality was brought to the moon by Chang e as she fled from the mortal world and ever since it's secrets have been guarded by the moon-rabbits (玉兔)
The fox bandit king Hua WangJie sought to steal it. Cultivators like himself could achieve immortality by way of the Dao however shortcuts could be taken. And along with immortality one could achieve similar levels of strength as one would if they achieved immortality through cultivation.
What WangJie Did not expect... was when he sought to steal the secrets to immortality... that his heart would be stolen instead.
