The original description for this image is lost to time but what's happening here is pretty clear. Ash is Max's little baby brother. Max got special pokeballs for Christmas since he's a big boy and is clearly ready for a Pokemon journey. Ash for a baby bottle and a teddy bear because, obviously, he can't go on those dangerous walkies anymore. Who knows? One day he may get used to this.

Used to it or not, he still might not like it though.
