Knuckles is the Keeper of the cave that Sapphire, Citrine and Bloodstone reside in and that Audrey and Mina are to work in. Knuckles' job is to protect the gems within the cave and to ensure that none of them leave or stolen, that they are well maintained and keep their magic within safe.
Knuckles is relaxed as he talks to the gems and walking the caverns but there are times when he needs to intervein at one point having to separate Sapphire from another gem named Malachite. This almost escalating sapphires magic to over grow, and Citrine having to help in calming him down.
Knuckles has a crush on Rouge he just doesn't know how to show it.
