A quick sketch of a world that fantasy races exist in the modern setting, leading to scenes such as this where a dragon has an idle conversation with a kid while waiting at a train stop.

The clothing for the dragon isn't remotely close to something finalized. I want to try to design something not based off a human archetype.

Awesome =D I'm currently playing with taking a similar concept and applying it to a Tabletop setting. D20 Modern does a lot of the mechanical work, of course, so i'm just doing the fluff at the mo..

...anyway. Awesome picture. I like how unfazed the kid is :P

Something about their mutual body-language, and esp. the human kid's expression, makes me suspect these two know each other somehow. Schoolmates? Neighbors? Acquainted through their families?
