You wouldn't be TOO far off. MechWarrior 2 was released around the same time as Earthsiege, though MechWarrior (which this is based off of) has been around for much, much longer.

That's okay, there's other MechWarrior titles. MechWarrior Online was put into Open Beta  six months ago.

See, if they'd ever make a REAL sandbox style Mechwarrior game, flamers would have some use.

Melt snow to refreeze in patches of treacherous ice, burn down buildings infantry are hiding in, torch forests to overheat enemy mechs...

I've done all those things ... of course that was REAL BattleTech (books, paper, pencils & dice). I miss those days.
I usually piloted a modified Marauder IIC (dual ER PPC’s and Gauss Rifles).
