The small ferret knocks on the door to their boyfriends' room. Marcus was gone for the night, taking care of work most likely. That left Elliott, Marcus' brother. The ferret watches the large wolf, stir in his sleep.
"E...Elliott. I'm s...sorry, I had a n...nightmare, and and..."
The wolf opens his eyes and gives the ferret a gentle smile.
"Oh Ollie, another one? Poor thing. Why don't you come up here and tell me about it."
Oliver nods and sniffles, crawling into bed with Elliott. The strong canine pulls them the rest of the way up and covers them both with the blanket.
"Are you okay to talk, little one? We can wait until morning...."
The ferret shakes their head.
"N...no. I want to...to get t...this out..."
They take a breath and begins to tell about their nightmare, being chased through hallways by massive creatures clawing at them. Endlessly yelling for help, but no one responds. Eventually they are tackled by the beast, but before they could get a good look at the creature, they wake up, still crying out for help.
It wasn't long after Ollie began to tell their story that Elliott fell back to sleep, the poor anxious ferret still wide awake. They kiss the wolf's snout and wraps an arm around him, tears still streaming down their face.
