Yeah, also as far as I'm aware she never actually harms, nor behaves in a malevolent manner towards the people that see her. It's more of the constant presence of something that appears so unsettling seemingly getting closer every time they see her combined with how no one else around the afflicted sees her, and generally being something that's difficult to rationalize that causes the mental break downs leading to suicides out of fear of what might happen if she gets too close. it's unknown what Mal-0's intentions or motivations are. If this paranoia and fear induced suicidal tendency in victims is something she's actively doing, or if it's something she's completely unaware is happening until it's all too late. The fact that some cases describe her presence as strangely comforting suggests to me the later. That Mal-0 is a neutral or, in the best case scenario, a benevolent entity that's trying to provide companionship to a species she has little understanding of. Remember not all eldritch horrors/entities are evil or malevolent by human standards, Long Horse for example attempts to warn humans of oncoming disasters, however due to the very nature of their being we humans have difficulty processing their existence.
