Prologue: The Story begins
Hundreds of years ago, in the peaceful lands of the Yoshiran Archipelago there existed great and prosperous kingdoms, protected by powerful warriors and gallant knights and ruled by benevolent kings. Long ago, the dark flames of war scorched these lands as the kingdoms tore at each other’s throats, but those flames have long since died out. The Darkness however is not so easily extinguished…
The long peaceful existence the kingdoms of old enjoyed soon ended as a powerful darkness sought to end all existence, to erase all that ever was. For a time, it seemed as if the Darkness would succeed in its grim task, consuming one kingdom after another, leaving them as barren wastelands, stripped of both light and life. Until Two brave warriors and friends, a powerful Sorcerer and a brave Knight, stood against the darkness as it arrived at their doorstep, threatening to consume all they knew and all they cared about. When the darkness arrived, the sorcerer and the knight fought valiantly with every ounce of might they had to offer. Eventually, the courageous warriors had the darkness cornered, and the knight was about to strike the final blow that would’ve ended it there and then, but the darkness had another idea, it whispered into the knight’s ears, tempting the knight with untold power that would be his if he chose to bond with the darkness. Despite the sorcerer trying to stop his friend, the knight caved into the temptation of ultimate power and let the darkness take him, creating a dark being of great power, the knight was lost forever, leaving only his sword behind.
The Sorcerer had no choice but to fight and defeat the dark being that was once his friend, and, summoning every ounce of power he had within him, channelling it through both his staff and his former friend’s sword, he defeated the dark being, sealing it beneath the earth. Since then, the Sword and Staff he wielded that day have been passed down through his family line.
Over a hundred years later, the dark being has begun its return, and will once again threaten the world as it did in days past. Fortunately, the Sorcerer’s family line has indeed survived the years and has a modern day descendant, whom may soon hold the fate of the world in his hands…
