Donnie's chain necklace is special: it contains the soul of an ancient Olympic champion who were an enozar, granting him the same ability to grow his muscles by huffing air.

Note that his arm tattoo is sentient and reacts when his biceps grow, breaking the chain when the muscle gets too big for it.
