The animatronics are possessed by the spirits of legally distinct kids(meaning teens 18 and up thats the joke of the word play) who are knock off Scooby Doo characters from the 70's

Movies about Benson and his friend trying to stop the world of the dead from being opened to the world of the living while throughout the whole movie are being chased by Craft the Clown and other horrors
The B plot is Benson's older brother Todd having to work at the run down Pizzaria with the possessed animatronics where they try to kill him and take his soul only for him to beat them at every turn in comedic ways, while literally breaking reality such as teleporting,making a shotgun appear out of nowhere, and forcibly twisting his neck and limbs back in place after being twisted around by a voodoo doll

Todd is not mute but remains silent the whole movie, he also romances Honey Bunny in the end and they start living together(Hes a gentleman so he never really hurts her, cept smacking her butt hard after she got stuck in the vent to allow her to move on), meant to be that strong muscle silent type comedy character
The pizzaria only has 70s music to play which at first Todd hates but at the end he eventually warms up to it and starts dancing to it when attacking his enemies, mainly the song "Do the Hustle", with the movie climax being Craft the Mime running out of fear of Todd as he dances to the song loudly,Todd beating the crap out of Craft to the music

Benson and stoner buddy (who thinks hes black but born white due to aliens) are the A plot,they face off against the most monsters usually getting innocent bystanders killed by accident.Benson has a crush on his childhood bully named Samantha
