Basically she's a disneyfied version of the manananggal - a vampire who splits in half that eats unborn babies.
However, she prefers eating non-sentient insects and fruit. She's based on a giant golden-crowned flying fox, where locals in the Philippines mistake it as manananggal here.
While it's unsettling she can split from her torso, but if you wanna hitch a ride during night time she'd help you.
