- Los dos proceden de una lejana tierra montañosa y boscosa cubierta de hielo que se encontraba al otro lado del mar. Irónicamente, ambos nacieron al mismo tiempo. Los dos fueron criados por padres cariñosos. Al principio, cuando se conocieron, se mostraron bastante reticentes a entablar amistad, pero pronto se hicieron amigos. Eso fue hasta que llegaron los humanos y comenzaron a cazarlos con armas y perros.

- En un momento dado, Shira fue perseguida y casi asesinada por los perros de caza, pero Atlas la salvó. Los dos pronto perdieron a sus padres: los de Shira fueron asesinados y los de Atlas capturados. Shira estaba muy afectada por ello, al igual que Atlas. Los dos, sin nada más que ellos mismos y lo que podían llevar consigo, huyeron de la tierra y acabaron en un iceberg que derivó hasta la costa de Venezuela. Al ver su nueva ubicación, decidieron explorarla, y fue allí donde conocieron a Mangled y su tripulación. El color con el símbolo de la Luna tiene un significado especial.

Atlas es el más sensato y es bastante hábil con la navegación, dada su tendencia a explorar mucho, y protege a Shira, ya que, al fin y al cabo, los mejores amigos se cuidan unos a otros. También es fuerte.

- The two came from a distant, mountainous, and forested land covered in ice across the sea. Ironically, they were both born at the same time. Both were raised by loving parents. At first, when they met, they were quite reluctant to befriend each other, but they soon became friends. That was until humans arrived and began hunting them with guns and dogs. At one point, Shira was chased and nearly killed by the hunting dogs, but Atlas saved her.

- The two soon lost their parents: Shira's parents were killed and Atlas's parents were captured. Shira was deeply affected by this, as was Atlas. The two, with nothing but themselves and what they could carry, fled the land and ended up on an iceberg that drifted to the coast of Venezuela. Seeing their new location, they decided to explore, and it was there that they met Mangled and his crew.

Atlas is the more sensible one and is quite skilled at navigation, given his tendency to explore a lot, and he protects Shira, since, after all, best friends look out for each other. It's also strong.
