"Thanks for that because now I can Special Summon Rose Fairy (1200 DEF) in Defense Mode as you forced me to add it to my hand from my Deck," interrupted Akiza.
"Whatever. It?ll go down all the same. To continue my turn I activate Tribute Doll to Tribute Dunames Dark Witch and bring out Harpie?s Pet Dragon (2000 ATK) in Attack Mode. Don?t think this some tame little teddy bear because this dragon gets 300 ATK for each of my Harpies on the field. *Harpie?s Pet Dragon?s ATK rises to 2600.* Luckily for you, it can?t attack this turn since it was brought out with Tribute Doll so I?ll Set 2 cards to end my turn. (Hand: 2 cards)
"Then it?s time for me to end this Duel. I draw! I use Shining Rebirth, letting me banish Tuners and non-Tuners in my Graveyard to revive a Synchro Monster from my Graveyard. I banish Violet Witch and Twilight Rose Knight to revive Black Rose Dragon (2400 ATK) in Attack Mode!" declared Akiza.
"Big deal. My monster is stronger and if you use its effect you?ll be wide open," remarked Mai.
"Not with Shining Rebirth. This card protects Black Rose Dragon from destruction this turn. Black Rose Dragon, clear the field! All other cards are destroyed. Black Rose Dragon, attack Mai directly and bring this Duel to a close!" continued Akiza. Mai?s LP drops to 0.
"Well well, you won. Not bad, Akiza," commended Mai.
"You weren?t so bad yourself, Mai," agreed Akiza.
"Till next time?" asked Mai.
"Till next time," nodded Akiza before they walk away. [Meanwhile...]
"How sweet. Two Duelists end a feud with a friendly Duel. Well it?ll be the last friendly Duel they?ll ever take part in thanks to a little tweak I?m about to trigger. Once they find out about it, it?ll be too late," commented Rogue. [Elsewhere...]
"Wait, I didn?t know Duel Disks glow like that," remarked Joey.
"They don?t, or at least I haven?t seen one do it like this," replied Yugi.
"Maybe it?s a glitch"? questioned Tea?.
"If it is, then it?d figure Kaiba would claim his tech is all that but neglect to mention the bugs," concluded Tristan.
"We?d better see him about it," suggested Yugi.
"See me about what?" asked Kaiba overhearing.
"Kaiba, do you know anything about our glowing Duel Disks?" asked Yugi. *Kaiba takes the Duel Disk and looks at it*
"That?s weird. I?ve never seen that before. What do you think, Seto?" commented Mokuba.
"It?s not an issue with the Duel Disk itself. Based on the glow, I?d say someone has hacked into it and plans to cause problems," stated Kaiba.
"What?ll we do with it?" asked Joey. *The Duel Disks attach to the Duelists? arms*
"Guess we?re not going to get them inspected more vigorously," realized Yugi.
"Maybe a Duel would fix the problem?" asked Tea?.
"Maybe. It seems so strange that this would happen seemingly out of nowhere," thought Yugi.
"There?s only one way to know for sure. We?ll have to Duel," stated Kaiba.
"What if that makes things worse?" questioned Joey.
"It can?t be much worse than what we?re already dealing with. Besides, it?s my job to ensure things are going as intended with the Duel Disks. I?ll be mentoring all changes and relaying them back to Kaiba Corp for further analysis," replied Kaiba.
"Awesome idea, Seto. Who?s going to Duel though?" remarked Mokuba.
"Obviously I?m going to Duel as it?s my product that?s affected, and I want you to face me, Yugi," declared Kaiba.
"Fine, Kaiba," agreed Yugi.
