Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus is a line from one of the most famous editorials ever written. Put to ink by the pen of Mr Francis Pharcellus Church on September 21st, 1897 in New York's THE SUN news paper. It is a heart touching and emotional peace that brings a tear to my eye when I read it or listen to it being narrated by some loving Grandpa like voice.
Normally, each year, do up a little comic or single panel, something a bit simple and fun and can be put on to a single sheet of paper. This took me far longer, and far more effort, and ended up spanning two sheets of paper, both sides, 16 'pages' in total. I admit, I was starting to feel it by the end and I started to rush a little. With the Canada Post strike ending 4 days before Christmas, I wanted to have my cards at least mailed out before the holiday. So on the night of the 20th, I am forcing out the last finishing touches, collating, then rushing out to the Staples open to 9pm to get the printing done at 8:55pm.
I hope you all enjoy this special holiday card, a bit early, but right now, I feel I could use a little Christmas now.
