All Cynoea Factions in Unseen Primal Remake

The Cynoeas are a primary race within one of Unseen War's many Supplementary settings. From Prime Cannon Unseen War to the Vintage Steampunk world of Folwilliar's Western and Atlantics, the Slice of Life Fantasy Steele n Friends, and finally the dark Sword and Sorcery world of Unseen Primal. Unseen Primal is a dark, Brutal world that blends Folwilliar's Western and Atlantic's, Dead Sound's Sauria, Gendy's Primal, and Turok in a blender.  It's a world ravaged by constant warfare, Lovecraftian Horrors, loads of bloodshed and nudity, and lastly Lust and sex.

The Cynoeas (caninefolk, Wulver, etc..) are a collective race that holds many trillions of Cynoea breeds. These humanoid canines assume the appearance of real-life dogs, Wolves, jackals, coyotes, and foxes, just to name a few. These beings came into existence long after the rising of the Pangeans (Saurians, Saurins, etc.) when these humanoid dinosaurs were at their Apex in a one-civilization Empire. They first drew breath in the mid-Jurassic when they lived on Pangaea in caves. They went unnoticed by their Saurian siblings for untold eons. Even after the glorious Pangean Republic fell to ruination, when the old world was torn asunder by unknown causes, this was known by many saurians as the Great Cataclysm.

By the 1st century, Kylozoic period (10-19 I.E and ten years after the Great Cataclysm), as the newly formed Laurasian Empire reshaped Pangea, these enigmatic canines would rise up to form a kingdom. Led by the lord known as "the White Fang". He became an important figure to these early cynoeas and even led many attacks against the Saurian natives. White Fang would make contact with the gods of the Outer Dark. It is with the knowledge of these Eldritch gods that White Fang would preach their names in battle and in early Axefang. Of course, the Laurasian Empire has not only repelled the force of Axefang but also kept them at bay at all costs.

Their Origins remain a mystery to the Pangaeans, even to those who live alongside the cynoeas, don't know where they came from or how they came to be. Laurasian Archivist and scholars propose several theories from natural causes, such as coming from their native land now lost to them, and that they've changed in diversity as they explore the known and even the unknown regions of Jordgard and other theories propose that Ak'coa has made and shaped them in the same way that he shapes the Pangaean people and names such as Odin and Thor are their names for Ak'coa and Setek. But those are just theories that they came up with. No saurians know the canine's true origins.

Regardless by 50 I.E, Many cynoeas would expand their numbers, settling down in many lands across Jörðgarðr and evolving into the modern Breeds who owed their existence to their common ancestor, the Wolves of Pangaea.

Core Cynoea Factions
The Axefang Imperium - One of the most ancient and ongoing Empires of Pangea. The Fallen Cynoeas formed this nation when it was nothing but huts and hovels until they made use of stone and copper. By 35 I.E, the first city, Dol-Amon was built. Soon, nine holds would be created across Pangaea from the southlands of Laurasia to the northern lands of Alfardyr. By 38 I.E one Alfardyr wolf Aniu the white planted the seeds of rebellion
She led her rebels to battle, and with her death. She inspires many others to leave their dark path and to seek out their true parents, the Aesir gods. The Axefang Cynoeas are the most Civilized of the Cynoeas factions. They worship the cosmic gods of the Outer Dark, and their goal (much like the Laurasian Empire) is to tame the wilds and to awaken the lost Great Old Ones. Using Flesh monstrosities was a beast of war via Flesh magic. They are zealot to the core. Killing anyone who opposes them and their conquest of taming Pangaea.
As of now, Lord Galamor, the Silent King, rules over his birth-home, that is Axefang. He is also the descendant of White Fang and rules Axefang and the Axefang Imperium with an iron fist. Other notable Imperium locations include Dol-Amon, Set near the Gray Scar Mountain. Blitz Hudirsson, Lord of Dol-Amon, oversees this city. He's responsible for the adoption of the city's most honorable Thegn Loona, who is also his daughter.
Akazyr, an Axefang city located on the border of the Solaris Desert. Known for its Flesh Forge, where Flesh Monstrosities are made. They constantly fight against the Solaris Hounds and the Soli-Pangeans from all sides.

The Brisheim Clan is a clan located along the coastal village of Brisheim in Acheron, who are constantly at war with the Boristen and Marcelyne for territory and farmland. Mainly consisting of Brisheim Heelers, like how the Bonibarian Cockapoos take to the skies, the Heelers take to the seas. Worshipping Njord as their patron god. Njord is the sea god. The Heelers weren't native to Mainland Pangaea but came from the southern island of Tralia that lies between Pangaea and Nordheim. They sailed from Tralia to expand their numbers due to constant war with the mysterious and elusive race known as Men. They, along with their fellow resident, the Kelpies, escaped the war against these "Men" from the Far North to Pangaea and founded Brisheim. Over the years, Brisheim began to house other cynoea people, such as a Collie family from the stone village of Ka-drun and a Khitai mother and her daughter who escaped their homeland due to a raid from a force known as the Warriors of Darkness.
The Kelpies, Koolies, and Heelers evolved to their state around 105 I.E when a few wolves from the mainland sailed their initially sailed to the island continent around 37 I.E. The Heelers stayed around the coast, the Kelpies went to the grasslands to build their many tribes, and the Koolies kept to the Forest. Brisheim itself was founded around 130 I.E. when a pack of Heelers sailed (or return) to Pangaea and founded an uncontested land to the coast. Brisheim would take years to be constructed, but by 145 the village would be complete with a few hovels and a great hall. Bandit's ancestor would take the title of Saekonungr.

Boristen Clan Is the most infamous of the Acheronian Cynoea clans due to their warrior nature. Led by an Acheronian Malamute named Steele, who is a proud and ruthless warrior from the north. His father built this village while Steele himself was young. Other cynoeas who sought refuge here are exiles from distant lands. Steele took the position of Jarl after his father died in battle. His daughter was only a puppy when he took the role. His daughter would be five when her mother died in battle against savage cynoea tribals from the wilds of Alfardyr. Even though Steele grieved for his loved one, he didn't let it interfere with his work as lord of Boristen and raising his daughter as a hunter. In 405 I.E, an outsider only known as Bolt came to Boristen from the north with his daughter after being exile from his former clan. The reason isn't known to all except for Bolt himself. Back to Boristen, Steele sends warbands to raid other and less fortunate Cynoea clans for supplies and even slaves to sail to allied clans. Steele's reputation would reach the known lands, even those from the Laurasian Empire became aware of his name and made attempts to attack Boristen on several occasions. On the fall of 415 I.E a Starhold Spitz would rescue Steele's daughter from a wendigo attack and not only became a resident of Boristen but a wife of Steele. Another traveller from the Solaris desert of Gondwana came to Boristen, originally for a pitstop, but she grew attached to Bolt, the Thegn of Steele.

Marcelyne Clan is another Acheronian Clan made up of those who escaped the Axefang and repelled their attacks. These Cynoeas came from different parts of Jordgard after their fight against the Axefang Cynoeas. Since then, they've lived as warriors and farmers who serve the Vanir god Freyja. They patrol their borders from outside threats, from savage tribals to Laurasian and Axefang forces. They are also in tune with the natural world around them, even invoking the spirits of the forest they live in and can commune with the Skōgrfólk or Forest Guardians, Large sentient tree beings given life by the goddess Freyja that often aid the cynoeas of Marcelyne in battle. The canines of Marcelyne are some of the few that manage to befriend the saurians from the Great Valley.

The Spani'ils (Cocker Spaniels of both English and American type) came from the plains of Alfardyr after rising sometime before 280 I.E. the Tagian Spani'ils (King Charles Spaniel) would come to existence a hundred years after. Marcelyne itself was founded in 296 I.E by the ancient grandfather of Lady Bogarthdottr.

Issgord isn't one tribe but one of two regions of Antarcticus, more specifically, the center of the Continent, nothing but frozen dunes and ruins of a long-lost race of beings that dwell there during the Paleozoic era. Different Clans within Issgord reside here, from the Kjrimfelki clan to the Ulriah Clan. All of these clans only have one goal, and it's to survive against the elements, the beasts of the lands, and the Nordheim humans that built their villages along the shores of Antarcticus. One notable Individual, Everest, hails from the Kjrimfelki Clan, leading troops to battle on her Antarctic Nanuqsaurus "Astridia". During a battle at the Lake of the damned, Her Nanuqsaurus was killed by a now-dead Nordheimr human. The human died by her sword as Everest obtained her vengeance. It is the god Ullr who blesses the Cynoeas with the ability to survive the harsh climate of Issgord.

The Infamous Issgord Huskies were once Alfardyrian Huskies who sailed for the far south sometime in 104 I.E. The land was a frozen hell, a monstrous beast that could endure the cold, thrive here, but these huskies found a way to endure. They drank from Lake Midjford. A lake blessed by Ullr after the Great Cataclysm. These unique huskies are known for their Lavender and white fur as documented by scholars from a Laurasian Empire fleet prior to their force removal from Issgord itself due to the temperature, low supplies, and the raids from these huskies who forge their weapons from ice found both here and in the far north.

In recent times and due to their interactions with the Laurasian Expedition fleet, the different Snaerjarls from their holds consulted with the High King of Issgord lord Leifwulfd on exploring the world outside of Issgord. After listening to their arguments, he then gave the Snaerjarls permission to explore the northern lands, including Tralia and Pangaea. They began to build ships to travel, even establishing a hold in southern Tralia as a means to connect Antarcticus to Pangaea.

Sightings of Issgordic forge ships have been spotted near the beaches of Brisheim, Acheron led by the daughter of Thoric Bronsson.

Minor Cynoea Factions
The cynoeas of Vaconis are not unified as one but are within scattered tribes throughout the land of Vaconis. A humid land divided into the Deserts of Stygia, the Savannah of Savannia, and the swamps of Amazonia. The most notable Vaconis cynoeas are the Vaconis Sandhounds (Anuntilian/Afghan hounds) who dwell in the dunes of Stygia along with the Stygian hound (Pharaoh hounds), known for their silky, long-haired fur that provides insulation in both hot and cold environments, and despite that, they are incredibly agile. First being mentioned in the recent story "The Nameless Village," two notable Vaconis Sandhounds came from the city of Pnakotus, an ancient library city built by a lost alien race that is implied to come from outside of the planet Jordgard. Another notable Vaconis Sandhound is Sylvie, who sailed to Pangaea to establish trade and even territory when she was taken to the far east to Acheron, and by 410 I.E she would've served as a member of Boristen on behalf of her home clan of Ah'lazn. Other vaconis canines included the  Amazonian Sloughian (Sloughi) that dwell in the swamps of Amazonia and constantly fight the Goblins that dwell there as much as they do with the other cynoeas and the Savannian Wolves (African Painted Dogs) who keep to the grasslands of their home, hunting down creatures such as Lions and Berberosaurus while using Atlasaurus as a war beast.

Hjord Clan is a Cynoea clan from Acheron ruled by Burtr Ash-fur and his queen Loni A. Bowzerdottir. The clan was built by Burtr's forefathers when the Cynoea species were young and unnoticed by the Saurians of Jordgard. Like the Canines of Boristen, they too have a proud warrior culture and capture slaves on their raids to use for labour or as sacrifices to Tyr, the Aesir war god. They live by the mountain borders that separate Alfardyr from the South, but will only attack if provoked. In recent times, A slave girl from the Seltic Isles managed to escape her captors while sailing to Valkaria. She swims to the coast of Acheron, near the Munngad River. The little girl walked close to the river for days until she found the village of Hjord. She has been under the care of the cynoeas since then a while one of them, a Bullhound, is a secret Axefang assassin sent from Axefang to infiltrate, to learn the secrets of Hjord, and to use the little girl to establish contact with the ones called the warriors of darkness.

The cynoeas of Khitai hail from the land of Khitai, while no one knows the location of this land, it is where the Khitai spitz (Chow Chows) and Khitai Spani'ils (Pekingese) came from. It is said to be filled bamboo forest with large beasts such as Mamenchisaurus and Omeisaurus that dwell in the forest, while theopods such as Gaunlongs are used as mounts for battle. There are notable cynoeas from this land who manage to build themselves in the primal land of Pangaea. In Marcelyne, a long Khitai Spani'il who was taken as a slave by the Laurasian Empire managed to escape them and lived in Marcelyne, where she dwells at the inn along with a Vaconis hound who was sent from her home to establish contact. A Pair of Khitai Spitz escape their home after it was raided by marauding savages to Brisheim. It took them months before they finally arrived at Pangaea and settled down in Brisheim. Beyond this, nothing is known of Khitai, not even the saurians of the Laurasian Empire know much, but again, they don't know too much outside of Pangaea, but they have started to sail to distant shores.

The Cynoeas of the Seltic Isles live on the Seltic lands as hunter/gatherers living in huts or in caves. There are several Seltic Breeds such as the Corgee (Corgi) of the lowland lochs and the Highland Snow Terrians (West Highland White Terrier) who dwell in the high-hills of Nesa. Other isles include Settrheim, home to the Settr cynoeas such as the Seltic Settr (English Setters) who thrive in the lowlands, the Marshlands Settrs (Gordon setters) who live in the swamplands of Settrheim, and the Irian Settrs (Irish Setters) who live near the Lochs of Settrheim and speak about the Monster they know as Nessie (an Elasmosaurus). TheBreeds from Atlantis include the Atlantean terrian (Yorkshire Terrier) who live in the Atlantean forest, the Atlantean Wolves are cynoea wolves that live in the tagia of Atlantis and co-exist with the stone punk humans. The Atlantean Seeps (Old English Sheepdog) are herding and farming Cynoeas who keep to the grasslands of Atlantis and serve the god Danu, their name for Frigg. Cimmyrea is a east island of the Seltic Isles and is home to the Cimmyrean bloodhounds (bloodhounds) and the Cimmyrean wolves.

The Unnamed Village is a Clan in Laurasia and a recent addition to the world of Unseen Primal. lore wise, it was founded by an unnamed Cynoea, only named the Chancellor in 280 I.E. An ancestor of the Alfardyrian Bernhardog (St.Bernard), Chief. The village was built around these stone Menhirs that point to the Elder Stars (aka. the Orion System). No one knows who built them or how long they've been there. The locals theorized that giants had built them in the old era before the current age (Triassic Period). While the village was founded by the Alfardyrian Bernhardogs, it also houses several other cynoea breeds, from Wolves to even Vaconis Sandhounds from the land of Vaconis. One notable resident is a Seltic Corgee (Welsh Corgee) named Elsa, who travels to the land of Pangaea after her village was pillaged by Barbarians. From 410 I.E to 413 I.E she'd travel from the east of Acheron to the west of Laurasia when she found the nameless Village and rescued Honey from marauders from the South. Elsa, since then she served as the Queen's guard. Honey herself is an Acheronian Poodle from an unmarked tribe somewhere in Acheron. She left her tribe to explore the land of Pangaea after being accused of thievery. She eventually came across the nameless Village and married Chief the Alfardyrian Bernhardog a few months after settling down in the nameless village.

Fell Isles - The spot hounds of the Murky Fell Isles have been around since the Great Rebellion. Located west, but not far from the mainland. These mires and swamps serve as a safe haven for the natives. The Spot hounds (Dalmatians) are adept seidr users, highly in tune with the magic in their veins. They spend day in and day out studying how magic works and are not known outside of the Fell Isles. Appearing as Labradorians canines with white fur and Black spots. They use the various beasts for their army, and the strongest Mages are appointed as generals. It is not often that they establish trade and alliances with other canine tribes, both within Laurasia and beyond. However, due to their semi-isolation, they don't bother to travel to the mainland, as the risk of encountering Axefang or attracting the Laurasian Empire to their Isles is too great. Yet, they have spoken about an ancient evil that dwells in the mirelands of their Isles, which kidnaps unfortunate souls for nefarious purposes.
These Spot Hounds, like any other modern Cynoea breed, are descendants of the ancient Pangaean Wolves of the ancient past. They arrive around 52 I.E and allied with the indigenous Barni'el species of Pangaeans. They kept to the woodlands and built tribes such as Undon, the village of shamans.

Bonibaria Clans - The Eldinyr Cockapoos are skillful warriors from the Alfardyr Mountains that divide Acheron and Laurasia from Alfardyr. known to ride on large Pterosaurs to battles and live inside the tallest of mountains. These yellow/brown fur cynoeas are guardians of the mountains. Cockapoos are a hybrid breed cross between an Acheronian Poodle from the east coast and a Field Spani'ils from the plains of Alfardyr. It is theorized that the Cockapoos rose in 39 I.E before the War against Axefang led by Aniu. One notable clan is the Bonibar Clan of Spaniel, led by Urien Bonibarsson. They've lived in their mountain village of Bonibaria for centuries, adopting an aerial lifestyle as they form bonds with their Pterosaur mounts, which they personally raise from hatching to adulthood.

Shadows at the Swamp Part one
Last in pool
Hello ya'll, Here's a brief summary of most of the cynoea groups in Unseen Primal, split into two core groups: the Major factions that have a lot of stories to them, and the minor factions that will be fleshed out in future stories. More fleshed-out versions of these factions will come soon, but for now, I'm putting this out to put an end to the dry spell, even if I don't get a lot of attractions on here.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this lore essay for Unseen Primal. If you have any criticism or questions, you may put them down below. Thank you for reading.
