Some 20 years later, married and widowed, Fernando has to take care of his three girls who can be a handful at times especially at the age of 10...

So he tells them to wait for him in his room for another long talk before going to bed for the night. But Tabitha decides that she should jump on the bed and touch the ceiling...

All ten years old?  That means he had to breed their mothers all in the same year.

Being married to them at the same time, he bred with them at the same time, so the girls were born within the same month from each other. Squirrel Society Rules allow for this sort of thing and he was lucky to get it.

Its a story I have not published yet, but will when I get to it.
