In the Book of the Faiyum the classic Egyptian god Set is depicted with the head of a flamingo. Yes, the god of storms and deserts is associated with this pretty bird. Honestly makes sense given how the "set animal" has a downcurved snout; maybe it's a kind of flamingo gryphon?
