Rest in peace my orange flavored son. I will miss you always <3
For those who don't know my poor orange boy has been through a lot within the last 4 or so years. He was diagnosed with IBD and at that point I was afraid he was dying then. After being on medication and getting it regulated as well as tweaking his diet and putting in a lot of hard work, I managed to stabilize his condition for the most part. Yes, he would occasionally have bad days and episodes but overall he did pretty well, mostly acting unaffected by it.
It wasn't until recently I took him to the vets cuz he acted like he wasn't feeling good. When they weighed him it turned out he lost nearly 2 lbs. Out of precaution they did blood work and showed his white blood cells were high. They put him on antibiotics and gave him fluids and it seemed like he was doing better. One thing that had me concerned was his breathing as it still felt labored. Concerned it had something to do with his heart, as he had a murmur before, I took him back to the vets. It turned out he had lung cancer and it was bad. There was nothing I could do.
Needless to say this has been a huge struggle for me. I never expected something like this to happen and I'm having a hard time coming to grips with it. Sadly, this isn't the first time I had to put a cat down, but its def one of the hardest. I know he knows he was very much loved and spoiled and now he no longer has to suffer.
Rest in peace my bean <3
