Its a tool. Kind of like if Photoshop and Microsoft Paint had a baby? It is much easier than Photoshop to learn, but there are limits to what it can do. If you have the time, knowhow and skills Photoshop is better. But for what it does, Paint.NET is easier, quicker and good.
For most of my posts it is good enough. I don't often have to hop on Photoshop these days.
