Okay, I just want to go on record as saying I may never draw another rock or scale again in my life. I originally planned to shade and highlight every individual scale, as well as add some silhouettes of flying dragons in the background, but then I realized that was going to be a lot more work than I thought, so I just settled for this.
I'm pretty sure this isn't how Avatre is described as looking in the books (and I know for a fact the official illustrations of her look little to nothing like this), but this is how I always pictured her, save for the wings being a bit bigger than what I had room to draw here. I know that's a terrible excuse for making the wings too small, but I hadn't planned on making this anything more than a pencil doodle at the time.
I've had my art stolen at least 3 times as far as I know, so I put that disclaimer there for anything I make that's a free desktop background.
The only series of hers I've read as of yet is Dragon Jousters, unfortunately, but I'm looking forward to reading more of her stuff. AFTER the new Warriors book comes out this month.
