It took me a couple years to realize why after years of being able to drink a lot with no problem, I suddenly would be miserable after one beer. Answer? I had only ever drank hard liquor before, and when I acquired a taste for fancy beers I would get a debilitating migraine about an hour after drinking just one beer. I don't drink much these days, but I'm back to being able to drink any amount if I want to and never getting a hangover. Yay.
