The Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897) was a Korean kingdom founded by 'Yi Seong-Gye' that lasted for over five centuries.
It established Confucianism as the state ideology and greatly influenced Korean culture, politics, and social structure.
Joseon is also known for creating the Korean alphabet, Hangul, under King Sejong’s reign.
