Maidean and Tros' children were born between 1970-1978. If we estimate this photo arooound 1984? That would put Rufus (their oldest) at 14, their twins Tennessee and Amarillo (the youngest) around 6. They're likely present at the rodeo with Tros and Maidean, and this is a brief moment where Tros was able to photograph her without a gaggle of children around.
I had originally written that she passed away in the mid 90s, but I'm actually not sure about that now. I think something else came up that instead split Tros and Maidean apart. I'm not sure yet, that'll be something I think on. But I think it's fitting, rather, that she's still alive, though I don't think she's lived in Virginia for quite some time.
When they were married, though, Maidean and Tros made almost yearly vacations down to Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma especially for the culture. I think they had that country-western spirit to them and really enjoyed the atmosphere there.
