I’ll be honest, this was a last minute decision of mine last week. Beforehand, I didn’t really think much about making a new watermark design. It wasn’t really until the last artwork where I thought that maybe it’s time for the watermark to change.
In this design, I didn’t change the design, but what I did change is instead of being 2D, I designed the logo to make it look shiny and more three dimensional. I was trying to give the design a little more of an 1980s aesthetic.
Making this was a bit of a challenge for me, especially with the aesthetic, the shine, and how to translate the original watermark in 3D. But I am pretty happy with the result right now.
If you have any thoughts about the change and/or the new logo, I would like to know.
