The full-scale invasion of the Reapers has had the most severe impact on Earth. Looking at this post-apocalyptic landscape, the only thing that suggests that this is the surface of the home world of the Systems Alliance is the Citadel station floating in orbit around the planet. The human race will have to put a lot of effort into restoring the planet's former glamour and beauty, but Shepard's example has proven that humanity's limits are far from being reached.
