Lyra was born and raised in a small seaside village, where in the mornings the fishermen would go out to the shore, and the girl helped them weave nets, sort the catch, and gather seashells thrown out by the tide to later craft them into ornaments. Life was simple to the point of impossibility, but honest — the sea fed all the villagers, and the villagers respected the sea, taking care to keep it clean.
When Lyra grew older, she joined the crew of old Joe — a sailor who sought to discover new lands, seas, and artifacts hidden in the unexplored vastness. Lyra’s heart longed for adventure! She had always been fascinated by old Joe’s stories about mermaids, sirens, and sea krakens.
They roamed the oceans, crossed bays, and discovered routes few had ever known, adding more and more to their hand-drawn map. Lyra saw wonders — islands lost in mist, pods of dolphins beneath the night sky, and underwater canyons where silence reigned like in a temple.
But one day, everything changed. As the fleet was crossing open waters, a piercing song echoed above them — the sirens. A storm rose, as if the very sea itself had rebelled. The waves swelled, tossing the ship from crest to crest like a toy ball thrown between children’s hands. And then... it was as if the creatures of the deep had gathered for a feast, waiting for the ship to crack and finally sink beneath the waves… Which, sadly, it did. Lyra was the only one who survived. When the storm subsided, the sea had taken all her friends; only the pitiful remains of the ship floated on the surface. During the attack, Lyra fought against the sea beasts, awakening the latent potential of her race, consumed by the fury of the storm — and she endured. But her crew did not.
After that, Lyra swore that no one who crossed the bays or left the shores of her homeland would ever meet the same fate. She founded a new crew — the “Coastal Storm.” Now they sail through bays and straits, transporting cargo, protecting the shores and peaceful sailors from sea monsters, from the deceit of sirens, and from the treachery of the waves themselves. Lyra leads her crew with a firm hand and a gentle heart — she remembers what it means to lose everything and knows the true worth of every life.
